“Wonderful beer pairing dinner”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

This place was recommended to us by our B&B owner on our recent trip to Bruges. She made a reservation for Sunday evening for us and another couple of friends that we were travelling with. We went there and were seated right away in a corner by the fireplace. The night turned into a lovely, almost 3 hour dinner experience with wonderful food and beer. We had such a great evening! It was so nice to be able to enjoy delicious food with very good beer and be able to sit and enjoy a leisurely meal with our friends. I loved how they timed everything perfectly with the beer and food and how you could tell that a lot of thought and preparation went into the whole experience. They would bring out and explain the beer that was paired with the appetizer that you ordered (we all had mussels...super yummy!) and then give you a few minutes to try the beer and enjoy it a bit before the food arrived. They waited until we were all completed with our first round of beers before bringing out the main course beers and then the main course and then they did the same for the 3rd course beer, then dessert. They give you FULL beers, not just a tasting glass which is great value because it was around 50 euro total per person for 3 courses of food and 3 beers! It is an experience not to be missed if you visit Bruges but make sure you have a reservation so that you don't miss out!

“One of a kind”
Reviewed November 25, 2012

We have extremely enjoyed our dinner here and it is one of our fondest memories of our Belgium trip. The food is excellent and of high quality that one just wants to savour and taste as slowly as possible. It is so good, you just want your plate to last and last and not be finished :) The beers that accompanied our menu were wonderful and very carefully paired indeed. It was especially nice to drink beer together with the desert, as we have never done this before. We got here as a couple and can especially recommend this place as well as a very stylish place for a romantic dinner. Recommended to make reservations beforehand. We visited monday evening and it was already almost full. One note for the Dutch: it is probably easier to understand the waiters when they speak English instead of Dutch, quite an accent for Dutch ears :)

“A very special place.”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

After a disaster the first evening we ate at this restaurant on our second evening. It was one of the most delightful experience both my wife and I have had. the food was sublime. The staff attentive without being overbearing. My wife and I both like to accompany our meals with wine but here we were treated to the experience of accompanying our meal with a selection of special beer. The Belgians treat their beer much as the French do with their wine - with respect. Highly, highly recommended.

“Sorry for English friends...."beer & food"”
Reviewed October 21, 2012

I'm so sorry, but this will sound rude. I'm not a great wine drinker....don't drink alcohol at all, but I'm experienced when it comes to food.
Well this restaurant serves you a lot of belgian beers, on the tap, all you can drink.
Who knows what the foods tastes like, when you're drunk, and full of all the beer you just had. Everything must taste great I suppose. If you ask me this restaurant is one in a million, nothing special, doubt about the fact if the food is even fresh....well, I KEEP AWAY !

“Beer & Food”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

You always hear about 4-5 course meals with matching wines but for the beer lovers, this is a nice alternative.
