Avery good restaurant just of the main square behind the bell tower. A warm welcome and fine food and beer, what more could you ask, especially when you've cycled though a snow storm. 15 cyclists were fed and watered and sent on their way warm and happy. Thoroughly recommended.

Found this gem of a restaurant after deciding not to wander too far from the main square on a very cold March night. Made the right decision! We were very walmly welcomed by the waiter, Steve, who was very helpful and attentive throughout the evening. We ordered the traditional and the Fish set menu (which I thought was really good value, especially as it was evening time) and we were not disappointed. The whole three courses, on both types of menu, were of really good quality, fresh tasting and beautifully presented. My husband said the Shrimp Croquettes to start was one of nicest starters he has had! Overall, a lovely experience, lovely people and would not hesitate to eat here again next time we're in Bruges, so hope to see you in May!!

A tall and very flouncy waiter who looked at you with disdain but we were hungry and it looked warm.
Food was OK, but again, what with the sliced bread? White sliced from Tesco I think! Once table walked out when served with the sliced bread. Waiter didn't seem to care.
Had spaghetti bolognese, which was OK, but kind of deconstructed.
Not bad on a damp night, but wouldn't go back.

Last week, after a long morning walk in less known parts of Brugge, we decided to take a gamble and went looking for a restaurant in the more touristic centre. Attracted by the nice interior, and a menu offering a wide variety of choices at reasonable prices, we decided to go for Arthie's. No regrets! Excellent location, really good food (the sole was superb). The waiters are friendly and make you feel at home. Our six-year old daughter loved it too, always good to see people do an extra effort for young ones.

We decided to try this restaurant as it looked welcoming and were attracted by the reasonably priced set menus. The service was extremely good and the waiter was very knowledgeable and recommended some good beers. The food was very good - soup to start that was tasty followed by the traditional Flemish stew that tasted fabulous with chocolate mousse for dessert. The whole experience was great and we felt happy for trying a place with no prior knowledge as to what it would be like. We would definitely go back next time in Bruges.
