“clean & friendly, quirky hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2014

Stayed here 2 nights, very clean hotel only 2 minute walk from main square,
friendly helpful & informative staff/owner's, a gem of a team,
quirky hotel, with many different type's of room's available,

Basement breakfast room, is a delight to start the day with, nice selection of food with cooked eggs to your choice, also there is access to rear courtyard, for a nice coffee in the morning sun,

Recommend this hotel, for couple's or family,

If you are staying as a couple, ask for room 4, in the eave's of hotel, with it's own little patio area, that overlook's the courtyard, with all it's original features of the old buttery.

Room Tip: room 4 in the eave's, overlook's courtyard

The hotel is in excellent location, possibly 150m from the main square. We were welcomed by very, very nice and friendly lady, check-in was sorted in 3 minutes and we got all the information about location, parking, nearby restaurants, etc. They still treat smokers as humans. The rooms are not small, but since whole hotel is built from several very old houses, it could be tricky to find your way. Our room had a bit unusual design, with the toilet and bathroom being quite far from each other. It is however very old-stylish, smell of old wood, round stairs, a bit squeaking floors here and there, this sort of things. I liked it, but it's matter of personal taste.
Breakfast is good, plenty of choices, they will also make scrambled eggs or omelet on request, bring hot milk, etc. Excellent, warm croissants. Good coffee. A bit slow but stable WiFi.

Little cosy hotel with outstanding breakfast. The rooms are warm with very comfortable beds. The lady made sure we felt at home at every moment. It is near a parking place and close to the markt and historical center. It is also situated along shopping streets and lots of restaurants and bars which makes it very convenient. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Bruges!

Friendly staff , Nice rooms . 3 minute walk to main square.
So many restaurants , bars shops , attractions and views on the door step.
The vaulted basement / breakfast area was nice and traditional.
The main photo on the web site is a little misleading as this is the rear of the building. Not all the building is at all traditional as suggested.Would not hesitate in using again.

Room Tip: We had the main street view. Not too noisy but rear rooms would be possibly be quieter .But may be n...

we found this hotel online and took a fancy to the pictures we saw. on arrival not at all disappointed. right in the middle of bruges, lovely old building decorated beautifully inside.

our room, number 20 was huge, biggest bathroom I've ever seen! stunning beamed ceilings and fireplace. free wifi throughout the hotel which was great being abroad and saving on mobile bills.

the owners were really helpful, telling us the best places to go for the Christmas markets etc and marking them on a map. they booked us taxis and were great when, pretty embarrassed, i had to call reception to ask how to work the shower!

breakfast was lovely...am still missing having someone cook my eggs to order every morning!

the hotel is a very short walk from the main square. would highly recommend!

There were four of us in the room, which was very nice and very spacious. It was spotlessly clean with lovely traditional decor and modern touches throughout the hotel.
The breakfast was varied - to suit everyone and very good. The location was excellent with a couple of minutes walk to the market square. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Good value and would stay again and would recommend to anyone...
