Two weeks ago we visited Bruge and stayed in this lovely guesthouse that is tastefully and comfortably decorated. Our room had a wonderful large bed with beautiful bedding, a sitting area, and a modern and very nice bathroom. Breakfast, as my husband fondly reminisced, was "fantastic!" It was plentiful and delicious! Veerle and Willem, the new owners, are very generous and kind, each being very helpful to make our two night stay a real pleasure. Veerle offered good suggestions for chocolate and restaurants upon our request. The weather was spectacular so we did not need to take advantage of the upstairs sitting room which has books, refrigerator, tea kettle and tea. Because of our stay with them, Bruge will always have fond memories for us. Our deep appreciation to Veerle and Willem!

We loved Bruges and found that the Arundel B&B was a perfect location to get to everything. Of course when in Bruges you need to rent bikes and check out the town that way. We felt welcome at Arundel and she provided a wonderful, fresh breakfast every morning and also willing provided tourists with input on restaurants etc. Would go back in a heartbeat!!

My husband and I stayed with Arundel B&B the week of May 13, 2007. It was home away from home for 7 nights. If every B&B is as wonderfully kept and charming as Arundel and every owner as hospitable and warm as Mrs Jaenen, there is no better way to travel. Clean rooms, WONDERFUL breakfast, and handy sightseeing help and advice made all the difference. Staying at Arundel felt like home. If you are travelling to Bruges, you are missing out if you stay anywhere else.

Lovely B&B in fantastic location. We stayed in yellow rose room, lovely. Very private - we could come and go as we pleased, help ourselves to tea/coffee etc. in upstairs loft. Host Marie-Claire very friendly - laid out a great breakfast - fresh rolls, pastries, eggs, cold meats, cheeses, juice, coffee/tea - then left us in peace to relax. No downsides really, a great place!

Having done a considerable amount of research on accommodation in Bruges, we plumped for The Arundel as it was so central. We were very pleasantly surprised by the standard of the two guest rooms and the guest lounge/breakfast room. Everything looked as if it had only just been decorated and the standard of cleanliness was amazing; the ensuite positively sparkled! The double bed in our room was enormous and very, very comfortable. Both guest rooms are on the first floor and then there is a further staircase up to the attic breakfast room/lounge which is at the guests' disposal at all times. There was a fridge with water, milk, tea and coffee making facilities and lots of chocolates, courtesy of our hostess Marie-Claire.
We had read comments about the breakfast but that didn't prepare us for the sight of a basket full of lovely rustic rolls and another basket full of danish pastries, I think we counted seven of them between the two of us. There was also meat and cheese and local pate and eggs, fruit juice, tea and coffee. A real feast!
Marie-Claire was very welcoming and helpful and we would recommend this excellent B and B to anyone.
