Before he even took the stage, I could tell Luc was a deep guy by the song descriptions in the event description leaflet. The few words he did speak in between playing his original compositions added a lot to the experience. As I'm nearing the end of my travels I was feeling a bit strange about life, as one sometimes does, and then his short performance put me in a great mood. He's a talented musician, and his pieces are somber and contemplative. What I enjoyed the most was the unexpected intimacy of the venue, and the presence he brought with him to the stage. Don't get me wrong, this is not meant to be more than a small sojourn, but it was the perfect way to spend half an hour in between museums and supper, and I was quite impressed with his ability to inject so much of himself into the performance with so few words and in so little time. Thanks Luc!
And the performance is indeed free... but if you do enjoy it you should put some euros in the donation box on the way out to support the artist!
