Sometimes, wherever you are, only a pizza will do. We took a taxi to this Italian restaurant which is , rather bizarrely, located in an anonymous suburb of the city. It has a very cool modern decor, perhaps a little soulless for the romantically inclined. Service was, initially spot on, there only a few other diners, and the pizzas arrived after a reasonable wait. You can see them being made and placed in the oven, freshness is guaranteed. A word of caution, I chose the Parma and Prosciutto pizza, unlike others it is only available in large size, it was delicious but I was forced to concede defeat after eating 75%. For reasons that weren't entirely clear we had to wait an age for the dessert menu, the proprietor, ( who reminded me of John Cleese ) seemed to be running the place single handedly, we had seen on waitress leave, we thought on delivery duties, however she didn't return. I'm sure there are other good Italian places in Bruges but this was more than satisfactory.
