“Fantastic”
Reviewed February 18, 2014 via mobile

Went here for lunch and it was so good we returned for afternoon tea the same day! Service was excellent-very attentive & friendly. We chose homemade soup which was tomato and very tasty. It was a large portion served with 3 small warm crusty rolls. Delicious, and only €5 each which we thought was excellent value. Had a white hot chocolate each and a slice of Victoria sponge in the afternoon. The cake was yummy but huge! We could have shared. Would definitely go back to try breakfast, quiche or lunch bagels or 'bunnies' as they call them! The food is homemade & fresh and you can tell.

“Cute place with a yummy menu!”
Reviewed February 16, 2014

After we had a lovely day visiting Bruges we decided to end our day with a sweet taste. Gingerbread Tea-Room has a lot of home made items with looked delicious. It was very had to make a choice in fact since you will be confused with all the yummies. I decided to have a hot chocolate which is made with real chocolate and home made panna (mousse) so I had to mix well so the chocolate will be melted completely. I was really worth the price! My husband ordered an ice cream shake which hot chocolate sauce and panna which he really enjoyed. I ordered crepes too which were fantastic but the chocolate is not nutella its a bit fondente. The place is family run so they really take good care of you and the place is nicely decorated and it makes you feel welcome. The prices are not that expensive to what you get. The portions are not small. It closes at 5.30pm, but we arrive at 5.10pm and they accepted us and some other clients. We stayed there till 5.45pm and we were not rushed out like some other places do. I totally recommend this tea room, its also very central and easy to get to.

“It's the food and the people”
Reviewed February 15, 2014 via mobile

Well deserving of it's reviews, we went there for breakfast, freshly squeezed juice, lovely light omelette , yummy yoghurt , and great tea and for two people ,, under 20 euros, but more than anything it was the charming, incredibly polite people who run the place. It's like being at your aunty or grandmas place. We tried to go back for afternoon tea, but they were full,, and they were so apologetic, it's a very relaxing ambience,, not pretentious just warm ,,,

“Lovely, cozy, family-run tearoom!”
Reviewed February 15, 2014 via mobile

On a cold wet afternoon coming to the Gingerbread tearoom was the perfect tonic- we had heartwarming delicious zucchini soup with warm bread and super hot coffee. The staff were absolutely lovely- it was a real home away from home type environment!
