The hotel is very small and more like a pension than a hotel. The people there are actually very nice and the gests also very friendly (mostly family or elder couples).
But for what the hotel offers, it is very pricey. The rooms are extremely simple and not so clean. My bathroom was a bit dirty and I saw spider webs and quite a lot of dust everywhere in the room.
The location is good. It is not in the center of Brussels, but due to the size of the city, you can reach the very city center (Markt and Burg) in a pleasant walk of about 15-20 minutes (already counting with some stops at chocolate shops:-)
Parking is for free in the streets nearby but for 75 Euros for a double room with breakfast was way too high for what we got. Me and my boyfriend made a trip through Belgium and Holland and this was definitely the worst hotel we stayed.

Stayed here in November on a short break. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. However, the room was no 4, right by the front door - it was extremely noisy during the night when people come back late and slam the front door and with it being near to reception you also get a lot of noise first thing in the morning with people coming down for breakfast, talking and women clipping around the hard floor in reception in heels. The lady on reception also has a baby who stays in the room opposite during the morning and this also creates noise. Perhaps I am too fussy or rather sensitive to noise but this was not conducive to a peaceful, relaxing stay (which is needed when you've been travelling and shopping all day long!)

On the plus side, the hotel is just a short walk from the train station and also near to the main squares. The staff were helpful, giving advice on where to eat and providing a map of the area. The breakfast is also very nice with plenty of choice for a continental style breakfast.

I am sure if you stay away from the rooms on the ground floor near reception you will have a very enjoyable stay.

I visitied this hotel in August 2006 on my circular trip around Belgium, Normandy and Brittany. I can only recommend this hotel to all leisure travellers who do not like to spend fortune and want a pleasant clean hotel with friendly staff, within the walking distance from the centre of the wonderful Flemish town of Brugge.

Two things need to be noted, however, the reception works only until 6 pm, if you are planning to arrive after that you should call the hotel first. Second, parking is generally a problem in the centre of Brugge and it is not possible for visitors of Brugge to park near the hotel, save for a short time parking to load/unload the stuff from the car etc. However, given that it does not make sense to drive into the city center anyway, as everything is perfectly reachable by foot, the best bet is to park at the central train station for as cheap as € 2.50 per day (about 15-20 minutes walk from the hotel, or you can take the bus from there to the city center) and do the sighseeing by foot, rent a bike or get on one of those wonderful boat trips. If you go around the central trainstation, make sure you do not miss the sand sculpture festival, too - entire history of Brugge in sand sculptures!

Forget the two star rating this really is a nice little family run hotel situated within an easy (5-10 minute) walk of the town centre and on the right side of town for easy parking although you cannot park at the hotel itself. Very friendly and helpful staff, a nice room and an adequate breakfast - I have stayed in far worse hotels for a lot more money

Stayed here for a couple of nights last month and pleasnatly surprised. You never know what you are going to get with a 2*. Vicky the owner/manager was brilliant. I arrived late having phoned ahead - she was waiting with a smile and a cheery hello and offered us a drink. What hospitality at 11 at night! Our room was a good size, newly decorated and comfortable and light. Located on the edge of the city it's down a quiet side street in a residential area and you feel like you're staying in a friend's house rather than an hotel. very informal and friendly and an absolute bargain...Great belgain breakfast too! Only a few rooms so book early to avoid disappointment!
