“Number 11, as beautiful as Bruges!”
Reviewed March 6, 2014

We stayed at Number 11 for 2 nights in March 2014, in the Vanilla Room.

Its an incredibly beautiful hotel, everything is clean and amazingly decorated. Pure beauty.

I was upset to hear that someone complained about the noise from the stairs, this is a very quiet hotel in every respect, if you do here any noise this is because its an period house not a purpose built hotel, which adds to the charm of the building, if you do want a completely sound proof rooms please go a stay in a boring business hotel.

The hotel takes on the incense of Bruges. Most friendly staff I have ever uncounted, and lastly the breakfast was delicious and like everything thing in this hotel so beautifully presented.

What a fantastic find the no. 11 guesthouse is. We were warmly welcomed with a perfectly tailored explanation of the city with a great hint to buy a city card. This card got us into all of the museums, a boat trip and brewery tour for much less than paying separately.

The communal areas are nicely decorated to a modern standard with some nice artwork dotted around the place. Sofas are around to relax in with a 24 hour honesty bar!

Breakfast was lovely with eggs however you liked and the usual continental pieces.

Our room, the chocolate room, was beautifully appointed, spacious and high ceilings. A lovely large bath and separate shower were perfect for us. We didn't suffer from any noise or disturbance that others have mentioned.

Finally the location is great; close enough to quickly get anywhere but on a quiet road.

We stayed at Number 11 for two nights from 18-20 Feb. 2014 and had the most amazing stay. We stayed in the Chocolate Room which was stunning with lovely personal touches. Everything is spotlessly clean. The staff are so friendly and you are made to feel at home as soon as you arrive. Breakfast was a real highlight with lovely food including pastries, freshly squeezed orange juice and eggs. The location is great, so close to the centre yet on a lovely quiet street a few steps from one of the most picturesque bridges. We hope to return soon!

Room Tip: Chocolate Room was lovely and on the top floor but sure all rooms are great!

This guesthouse is beautifully presented and in an ideal location for exploring the romantic city of Bruges. We were warmly welcomed and treated to a very good breakfast both mornings. The bedroom (vanilla room) had a huge comfortable bed and the bathroom had an excellent shower and bath. The only negative really was the noise, both from the street and from any guests on the stairwell late at night. Although the street noise can't be helped as it is so central. We highly recommend climbing the Belfry for a cracking view and eating at the tapas restaurant 'Quatre Mains'. We would highly recommend this guesthouse for any couple on their first trip to Bruges. Last 27 of November we stayed in this B&B for two nights. I should like to talk about how good were those nights.
It's an small and exclusive hotel. A wonderful place full of a nice decoration with a lot of original details. The bedrooms were very comfortable with a very big bed. Breakfast is delicious.
The first day we were talking with Hilde who was very kind showing us the wonderful hotel. At that time she recommended us the best places to visit and also the best restaurants to have a lunch.
Last day at the check out time was Tania who help me with my Barcelona English homework. She was really kind because she had no problem for helping me to make an interview, a funny interview.
At last it was very curious: Me and my husband speaking Catalan in a country where most of people speaks French but in Bruges they do speak Flemish and I was making the interview in English.
Everybody is very nice in the wonderful Number 11. Thank you very much.

Room Tip: We were in the cheapest one and it was really great so from these on all of them must be much more u...

We had the most wonderful short stay at No. 11, beginning with a warm welcome from its owners, the beautifully appointed rooms with all the thoughtful details, delicious breakfasts (even champagne on New Year's Day!) prepared by Tania and Hilde, who were also very hospitable and helpful with advice on sightseeing. Our 3 teenaged children shared the Family Suite, which had an amazing bathroom and a patio leading to a most romantic looking garden. Our room was the Vanilla Room, which was also very lovely, but because it was at the front of the house, it did suffer from some traffic and pedestrian noise from the street. Other than that, everything about No 11 deserves a 10 out of 10!

We spent three nights at the Number 11 Exclusive Guesthouse over new year. We were so pleased with our choice! We arrived to be greeted by the owner who helpfully showed us around and gave us some really useful tips on the best places to visit during our stay. We stayed in the grey and white room which was just so beautiful (as was the whole house!) The bed is so incredibly comfortable and there was everything you needed in the room from your own coffee machine to gorgeous bath salts to help you unwind in the beautiful bathroom. We just loved this place. Breakfast was 8:30 - 10 am and was so beautiful. I loved waking up in the morning to the small of warm pastries wafting into the room! So we had pastries to start, followed by a bowl of fresh fruit. Then a lovely array of breads, sliced meat and cheese followed by eggs cooked to your liking (we had scrambled). Oh, there were also yogurts on offer. To drink we had freshly squeezed orange juice and a cafetiere of delicious coffee. To top it all off, on new years day we were greeted with a champagne breakfast! The guest house also has a fridge with lovely Belgian beer, wine, champagne etc on offer. I'm delighted we choose this guesthouse and we will definitely be back!
