Having decided to drive down to Bruges for a quick 2-day jaunt, I did a little research on the central hotels. I did use other TripAdvisor reviews to separate the wheat from the chaff, and I am so glad I did...it swayed me towards this little gem! De Tuilerieen could not have been a more perfect choice for our stay. The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional at all times. The room (we were on the third floor, so had windows in the sloped ceiling, which was very cute) was pristine, and the decor was glorious without being overbearing. I must admit that I didn't book the breakfast, as I knew we'd rather take a walk and find a caffe in the morning rather than try and eat our way through 25euro's worth of breakfast each, so I cannot comment on the food. However, this hotel is possibly the most perfect one I could have chosen. I was actually in Bruges looking for a hotel for a large group at Christmas, so I did get the chance to look around many hotels in the city during my little 48-hour adventure, and there are some splendid and very impressive hotels throughout this gorgeous city. However, De Tuilerieen is simply a little gem - wonderful location, beautiful boutique hotel with bags of style, and wonderfully happy and informative staff...I was *very* happy with my choice!!

This is an absoultely beautiful hotel in an old rustic way, with lovely staff and very large rooms and bathrooms. Rooms are clean and comfortable and there is a car park available at the back. They also accommodate dogs if you feel the need to take yours

We had three nights at this lovely hotel. It is so well situated right opposite the canal
and within walking distance to everything. The hotel staff are very warm and friendly, and the breakfast is delicious, they even have a chocalate fountain, great for strawberry dipping. We had a suite overlooking the courtyard, I was a bit disappointed with the room as it was quite dark, and also on two floors, with the bathroom being downstairs. The funiture needs up dating in the lounge area, as it looked a but shabby, that was just a small thing as the bed was so comfortable.. I would go back to this hotel, but would want to stay in the main hotel.

Room Tip: Stay in the main hotel and upgrade your room

Just returned from a brilliant stay in Bruges made even better by this wonderful hotel. The hotel is beautiful and is in the perfect location overlooking the canal. The hotel is clean, rooms comfortable and the buffet breakfast is great way to start the day. The staff are friendly and helpful with nothing to much trouble Our room was at the front of the hotel, it had a large comfy bed and overlooked the canal. It was great to see the horse drawn carriages and the little boats going by and to hear the chimes from the tower. If you are thinking of going to Bruges for a short break I would definitely recommend that you stay in this hotel.

Stayed three wonderful nights in this beautiful hotel in the centre of scenic Brugge. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Our room, while one of their smaller ones, was well appointed. The breakfast buffet was magnificent and included the softest and creamiest scrambled eggs I have ever had. Their chef really knows her eggs! Excellent.

Room Tip: Spend a bit more on a room with a four poster bed.

You will be hard pushed to find any substantial faults with this hotel, it really is near perfect.

The staff are probably the friendliest hotel staff I have come across, genuinely pleasant and helpful. The location is perfect, Bruges is small enough that most hotels are 'central' but the location on the canal made it especially nice. Rooms are a very generous size with big comfortable beds. They are kept very clean and well stocked also.

The view from our room made it quite special and it was lovely to hear the belfry chiming and the sound of the horses on the cobbles, it was all very 'authentic'.

If I had to find anything that I would like changed I would just say that our bathroom didn't have a shower head holder so you had to hold it yourself to shower, not a major issue but just something that could be added to make it a easier process for guests.

The swimming pool and steam room were also well maintained and pleasant to use.

If returning to Bruges in future I would definitely return to this hotel.

We stayed here for two nights as part of a cycling trip. The location cannot be beat- centrally located in historic Brugge and very convenient to restaurants and shops. We really liked our room- clean, comfortable bed and a huge bathroom with a great view. Nice, quaint hotel bar in lobby. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
