What a delightful find!

We had an absolute bargain 3 night stay including flights and breakfast for £300 per person, which when you look at the cost of this hotel, is a complete STEAL! The bar prices will however sting you a bit, but what else do you expect from this type of hotel?

The hotel is situated in a wonderful location, smack bang in the middle of Bruges, and a stones throw away from all the sights and places of interest.

Breakfast is "to die for" and the selection of breads, cheese, fruit, etc is just enough to make you feel special....then there is the endless chocolate fountain that trickles away just tempting you ...

The rooms are luxurious, detail is plenty and the beds are oh so comfortable.....

The spa is minimal, but lets face it we are there to see Bruges not sit around, however on our last day it rained so much we spent a few hours sitting in the spa, chilling, listening to the soothing music and having a dip in the lovely little pool....perfect!

This hotel is lovely, the decor is simply stunning, the building is very impressive and the wall of fame in the bar really makes you feel your living the celeb lifestyle if only for a weekend.....

A Stunning luxury retreat, im so glad i accidentally found it! Well recommended!

We have booked the room through laterooms.com and got a room for 140 Euros per night (room only) while other websites offer much much higher rate.

We arrived first in Liege so we took the train to Brugge and got our taxi to the hotel. There was no sign for the taxi stop at the train station but we were helped by a very nice man to show us the place which is just before crossing to the roundabout. The taxi costs 7.9 but we gave him 10 Euros because we have our 3 luggage. Once entering in the hotel, the most beautiful receptionist I've ever seen came welcomed us from the door and helped us with our luggage then hand us the room card and explained all the places we should visit on the map. She even googled the hotel where our friend stayed for us. However, after being escorted by the concierge to our room, the main light was not working and he said he will ask the receptionist if they could fix it but I didn't hear any news from him again, maybe because we went outside afterwards. The room is large, cozy with pretty decoration. The bathroom is large with all amenities: 2 shower caps, 2 shampoos, 2 bath gels and 2 lotions which I even didn't receive from the 5 star hotel in Brussels. There was also complimentary spa including until 10PM. Don't forget to ask for the wifi password as they are without charges and we can use as many accounts as we like. We didn't pay more for the breakfast at 25 Euros extra so we couldn't tell. They also have umbrellas hanging on the corridors for us to take out since we arrived in raining days. The walk to the market is just 5 minutes away and easy. I would recommend strawberries in the morning market - they are big, juicy and very sweet! I also tried mussles in the restaurant there but I think I like NZ mussles more - just from my personal experience, but hot chocolate is awesome. The check out is quick and the reception called the taxi for us including checking the train schedule for us to Brussels which is very nice of her. All in all, a very good hotel.

Where do I start with this outstanding place... I booked this hotel in a rush, without reading any reviews on hotels.com and I have never made a better choice of hotel. Sometimes I spend days on end reading reviews and end up staying in awful places - this was the complete opposite. Upon entering, you can tell the place is amazing. The receptionists are extremely friendly and speak perfect English. They also took the time to explain several places of interest on a map of Bruges. The hotel room was huge, very clean with a separate bathroom and toilet. Decor was extremely tasteful and there were quirky objects of interest, like old wooden ski's placed about the room. The public places within the hotel were superb, even the outside patio area, I really felt that I could relax there and as for the bar area and hall of fame, you should see it to believe it. I was staying with a friend whom had recently lost a partner and he was so blown away by this amazing little hotel. It was fantastic to see him so enthusiastic about this terrific place and I would like to thank all the staff for making our stay such a memorable one. I will be back one day!

We had a two night stay in one of the junior duplex suites across the courtyard from the main building. Characterful is a good way to describe the spacious living room from which a spiral staircase led to the mezzanine bedroom with a significant 4 poster bed.

The highlights of this famous hotel, situated at the very heart of the most beautiful part of the historic centre of Bruges, were firstly...

The Breakfast.... In one of the most perfect breakfast rooms, the breakfast buffet has everything a hungry heart could ever wish for, and so beautifully presented.

The Swimming Pool... Admittedly very small, but.. perfectly formed and ideal for a total relaxation after a day's walking followed by the calming session in the steam room.

The Bar.... So cosy and inviting.

And last, but not least.... The Staff. Every member of the staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. They made the stay an enjoyable experience. Thanks .

Room Tip: There are many different types of room and suites spread across the main building and the converted...

We stayed here while on a European vacation. We visited several cities and stayed in several nice hotels, but this was our favorite for many reasons. The hotel is very nice, quaint and truly captures the "feel" of Bruges. Our room was nestled on the third floor with a breathtaking view of the city. It was clean and very cozy. The location of the hotel is perfect and was a short walk (10-15min) from the train station. Everyone working at the hotel was very helpful...and the bartender makes a delicious Irish Coffee! We hope to visit this beautiful city again and we will stay at this hotel without question.

Room Tip: We stayed on the third floor in a corner room and absolutely loved it!

In the dead centre of the wonderful medieval city of Bruges is this hotel. And it is wonderful - possibly a bit pricey but rooms are large and beautifully furnished.

Room Tip: I doubt if there's a bed one but overlooking the canal at the front would be choice.

The location of this hotel is superb: it's in the middle of the center of Brugge at the side of the canal. The room was nicely decorated and clean . Breakfast was OK and there was a lot of choice. The staff is well-trained, friendly and efficient. In the morning, one of the personnel asked us which museum we were planning to see and gave us a coupon to get in. This was a plus!
We had a quiet moment of resting an reading in the afternoon at the bar of the hotel.
