This small, family-run, hotel is located in historic Brugge, only a few blocks north of the Burg Square. It occupies an 1830's mansion which is well maintained and clean. As per most older hotels in Europe, our very quiet and comfortable room was just a bit small; but the view out the window to the garden area made up for that.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the garden

What a lovely hotel. Great location and a beautiful building in a quiet street - we had a room facing the road but this seemed to be relatively free of traffic, so no noise irritation. The room itself was very tastefully decorated in calm and elegant china blue. It was large and immaculately clean. The mattresses were extremely comfortable, although the pillows were a little hard for my taste. There was a mini bar but we would have liked tea making facilities in the room (even the tea rooms in Bruges struggle to make a decent cuppa, so it would have been nice to make our own!) The staff at the Patritius are quiet, pleasant and very efficient. The breakfast was delicious, a great range of pastries, meats, cheese, cereals, yogurts, home made jams and fabulous fresh squeezed juice; you could even have boiled or scrambled eggs. Lovely! The hotel is less than 5 mins. walk from Markt square where there are lovely bars and restaurants. We ate just up from there at the Hussars brasserie and had fabulous meals, reasonably priced. Both my sister and I enjoyed our stay enormously and I intend to return with my husband later in the year. Of course we will stay at the Patritius!

The Hotel Patritius is a great little bed and breakfast close to many of the historical sights in Bruges. Our room overlooked the garden and was very clean, quiet and comfortable. We stayed for 3 nights and ate the lovely breakfast each day with eggs cooked to order and lots of cheeses, breads, and meats from which to choose. We would recommend and stay there again!

We only stayed 1 night at this place and were so impressed by the beauty and cleanliness of this venue. The location is wonderful and they have the most spacious rooms in all of Europe. This establishment is on par with any 5 star hotel and the decor is absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was included in our rate and this is a must as there is everything from boiled/scrambled eggs to muesli/cereals, yoghurt, fresh juices, croissants to die for, toast/breads, cheese, salami and other cold meats, coffees/teas. If ever we go back to Bruges, this is the hotel we will stay at. Thank you to the lovely friendly lady and her father who helps her run this place.

Room Tip: We were in Room 24, which was on the 2nd floor and was very spacious and quiet.

This hotel is superb, in a great location, well appointed and well run. We last stayed here five years ago and the high standards we experienced have been maintained.

The location, in a quiet street just five minutes walk from the Markt, is perfect. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with silent air con. A good nights sleeps is guaranteed due to blackout curtains, absolute silence and comfortable beds. The bathrooms are well finished with a bath and decent shower.

The dining room, breakfasts only, is very grand and spacious. A very varied continental breakfast is provided with cooked eggs on request.

Extras here include a lift, room safe for a 20€ deposit, a tea/ coffee tray for 10€ and fast free wi-fi. The couple who own the Patritius are very friendly and speak good English. Taxis can be booked from Reception, ours were always early and reasonably priced.

The location is five minutes walk to the Markt and Belfry, past our favourite cafe, Pain Quotidien, with the tastiest tea in Bruges.

Room Tip: Room 38 is very quiet.
