Second time here and its been great both times. Friendly staff and welcome on arrival where they give you a map and tell you where to avoid and sometimes suggest nice places to eat. Rooms aren't massive but big enough, clean linen and well decorated. Cant complain. Our "mood lighting" didnt work this year and im sure last year it didnt in one of the rooms so maybe that needs looking at.
Breakfast is a simple continental buffet with cereal, waffles, cold meat, cheese, eggs and pancakes to mention a few.
Location is nice but most areas are in Bruges.

Jacobs Hotel is a lovely hotel, situated down a quiet cobbled street.
I'd advise getting a taxi or bus when you first arrive because it takes a little while to grasp where you are, with all the little streets. It is a good 30 minute walk when you know your way.
On arrival the receptionist was lovely, really helpful. She told us the best areas to eat, visit, where to avoid high tourist prices, catch a boat trip, that sort of thing.
We had a standard room and it was clean and tidy. The mood lighting was an interesting and different touch. The only thing I noticed was dust on the heated radiator in the bathroom, apart from that, all good.
Breakfast was nicely continental, a good selection of waffles, cereal, meats and egg.
On check out, you do have to pay a tax, I was expecting this as I had read other reviews. Its only 2.50 per person, so doesn't break the bank!
I would definitely recommend this hotel to couples and make a return visit.

Very close to the main square but still not expensive if compared to the city's average. Rooms at Jacobs are large enough, clean and comfortable. We had a triple room and space was not missing. Breakfast is included and quite varied, definitely a plus. The lady at the reception is nice and helpful, giving us hints and advices about the town.
The hotel doesn't have a parking, but a public one is available; the only inconvenient is that the parking disk has to be changed every 4 hours.. annoying.

This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel, we returned because the rooms are immaculate and modern, although some new pillows would have been better as the ones on our bed were rather flat.Breakfast is varied and a good standard and the staff are all so friendly and helpful.
Parking is convenient and free (€10 deposit for a plastic meter to display in your car) and the town is a very short walk away.
Overall a lovely place to stay and look forward to returning again

We stayed at the Jacobs hotel at the beginning of December for a long weekend. I was initially a bit apprehensive due to some of the review, however I have to say I was pleasantly suprised.

The staff were very helpful and the rooms were very modern. For the price we paid it was a fantastic find. The only points I would make was that the shower room was quite cramped, they only have twin beds (no doubles at all) and it is a fair little walk from the centre.

We have stayed in Brugge a number of times now and I wasnt disappointed with this hotel, it was a nice quite base away from the centre of town.

This hotel is a good base for a short trip to Brugge. The staff is welcoming and helps out a lot. There are free parking spots in front of the hotel. You do need to change your park-card every 4 hours.

The room is quite fancy with coloured led lights behind the beds. the beds are comfortable and the breakfastroom is pretty good.

It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the city centre.

The Hotel Jacobs offers are good base if your planning a short trip to Brugge.
The hotel is welcoming and clean and provides a comfortable stay. The rooms are modern and clean, the beds are comfortable and the included breakfast is plentiful and provides a very good variety to suit all tastes.
The hotel is within the historic city and whilst this is great as it's only a 10 minute walk to the Markt and all of the wonder of this stunning city it also means that parking is controlled. For this the local authorities use the European blue disc system which limits parking to 4 hours at any one time, so whilst you can park outside the hotel you'll need to borrow a blue disc from them for a 10 euro deposit. However at night the parking is not controlled so you can park in the evening without a problem.
The hotel staff are very welcoming, helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble, all in all this is a very good base for a short break in Brugge and I'd recommend it to larger families like ours needing a large comfortable room for a couple of nights.
