When we first entered the hotel we were greeted by a lovely receptionist who gave us a map of the city and some must sees. The room was a decent size, especially the bathroom. It had air con, I understand that not all the rooms do though - we had ours on most of the time. The pillows on the bed were quite small, and the Wi-Fi was really slow, but good enough to Google places, check email etc.

The hotel bar is reasonably priced and the outside part is pleasant to have a drink in - you get some salty snacks with each drinks order, tasty, but we blame that for us having one or two more than we thought!

Breakfast was good. I don't get excited by a continental breakfast, but left full enough.

Room Tip: Some have air con, others don't.

The hotel was as shown in the pictures, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was a bit too warm and there is no AC. The breakfast was quite complete, with a nice variety of breads and pastries, it could have more fresh fruit though.

despite what trip advisor told me, bfast is not free and in fact a whopping 15 euros/pp, which is totally not worth it. This was not made clear to me until i was checking out and obviously was not happy about it. after arguing with the manage, who was trying his best, we agreed on the pre-paid rate of 9.5 euros per day. So buyer beware.

it is off the beaten track and on the opposite end of the train station. It's about a 25 minute walk if you want to do it, otherwise you can take a taxi. There are lots of great restaurants around the hotel and everything you want to see is easily within walking distance.

I asked for and had a room with air conditioning which is a minor miracle in Europe. Otherwise the room is sufficient/bed comfortable. it does have free wifi. the bar downstairs is really nice and chic but full of little mosquitoes that made drinking there quite unpleasant.

Surely 'nothing in life is ever really free' ;+) Our thanks to Justin P and Michelle R for staying with us and for highlighting our comfortable beds and the breakfast arrangement. We do sell rooms including breakfast, depending on the outlet and wherever we don't, it may be pre-booked at the discounted charge of just € 9,50 per person (please just add it to your comments or email us seperately). We do always try to make this as clear as possible on all sites, however this does depend on the level of actual control we have over the relevant content (we are unsure where on tripadvisor this would be indicated either way or even why, as they do not provide the booking themselves). This approach allows us to optimally plan for the number of takers each morning and guarantee the level of service and quality that we know our guests expect. It may of course still be arranged when on site, though then it does indeed come at the regular charge of € 15, which we think is very fair, especially considering what's on offer: as many premium brand lattes, cappucinos, espessos or varied types of tea as you can drink, fresh fruit juices and fruit, hot bacon and scrambled eggs, pastries baked fresh on-site every morning, wholemeal breads, varied buns, yoghurts, cereals, gluten-free products (on request), local cheeses and meat products, ...and so on...

Pros- The hotel actually looks like the photos which is a bonus...really good location, supermarket and bus stop opposite...rooms are big, beds are comfy, bathroom big (2 sinks)...has a bar and terrace area, cheap drinks.

cons - breakFast is 15 euro pp, id save your money and go to a cafe or bakery

Really everything you need for a visit to Bruges is here in terms of helpful staff. Lisa on reception is an asset to this place, informative, clued up on local knowledge and so friendly. Typical of the feel of the place. Clean, unobtrusive with a comfy bed and the hottest water on earth. A rare 5 star rating from us.

We're overwhelmed! We do try and it is most rewarding to receive your maximum praise for the way we try to do things, do come again!

We would just like to take this opportunity to point out that only a limited number of our rooms have one of a varying type of terraces/patios (mostly with those of the 'Club' type). Bookers are by all means welcome to include a request for such a room with their reservation but it really is on a first come, first serve basis and we are unable to (fully) guarantee this. On the other hand: our hotel has 2 inner courtyards with gardens, pond and terraces, for all to enjoy!

We stayed in this hotel on Sunday the 27th July for one night. Location excellent. Really lovely hotel. We had room 102 which had air conditioning, patio area, superb shower and a really comfy bed, basically all you could ask for. Staff on reception was more than helpful with any query we had. Parking overnight was €14, it may be a good idea to book this in advance of your stay. Breakfast was nice, basic continental fare. Free WiFi in the room ,also a flat screen TV with oodles of English speaking channels. Good bar area, I believe it stays open until 1a.m. All in all a really excellent hotel.

Centrally located hotel - Booked 2 rooms - One room was refurnished and very contemporary and comfortable - The other room was not refurnished yet and was more old-fashioned, but known beforehand, so no surprises. Mind while booking if your room has got airconditioning or not. During the summer time it is recommended.
I specifically mention the professional guest services even the after-sales: the hotel mgmt was very professional to resolve an issue we reported after we left. This proves that you're in good hands in this hotel!

Room Tip: Airconditioning is needed during summer time
