Great hotel! Large modern rooms. Warm soft beds. Location is on the outskirts - great access if you have a car. The wireless worked great. The complimentrary breakfast was also very good (I also grabbed a couple of pears which I put in my bag which I ate later in the day). we asked for restaurant recommendations, which were perfect for what we wanted. This was the best hotel we stayed in, in our 20 day trip. The only challenge is parking - don't park there, park around the corner for 5 euros for 24 hours.

Thanks - on arrival at midnight we were met by a friendly knowledgeable reception manager who was keen to demonstrate that he had read our email requesting quiet rooms. WE had rooms 305 and 307 and yes they are indeed quiet. Plenty of tea and coffee making materials in the room and beakfast was a feast. The rooms were comfortable and the hotel is within easy reach of a short taxi ride (perhaps we will aloow more than 10 mis next time!). The staff know the area and were extrememly helpful with where to go and what to see when.

Room Tip: 305 and 307 were quiet - we didn't use the lift but there was one

We spent one beautiful night in Bruges and were lucky enough to have picked Hotel Flanders for our stay. Although cold and drizzling outside, the warm and friendly staff made our stay memorable. We asked for a lot of advice on a place for lunch and then again for dinner. Both times they were spot on with their recommendations and were excellent choices - we were given several options each time. Sarah on reception was particularly helpful and cheerful, and also helped me with our train transfer to Antwerp. Nothing was too much trouble and she knew information or looked it up in no time. Her advice was again excellent. Perfect information on timing of trains, which ones were direct, and what time to get to the station etc.
Free use of big umbrellas was very timely with the drizzling rain, and the happy hour at the bar provided some cheap drinks. Breakfast was delicious, with a very big variety of fococoon lauding lots of cold meats and cheeses, scrambled eggs and bacon, and eggs you could boil yourself in a rather fancy machine. Almost everything you could think of.
Hotels can be simple or fancy, but what makes them good in my opinion is the quality of service you receive & the friendliness of staff to make you feel welcome and like you are staying in a home away from home. This is one of the best I have stayed in for that reason.
Rooms were large and spacious and we were able to walk everywhere.

Lovely hotel just outside the centre of Bruges, friendly helpful staff, clean, spacious rooms and our room had a balcony overlooking the fish pond & water feature- very therapeutic!
The real selling points about this hotel are not one but two happy hours on selected drinks & the fabulous breakfast- continental with fresh pastries as well as scrambled eggs & bacon.
Definitely worth a try for a relaxing, quiet and welcoming stay in a beautiful city :)

Room Tip: Ask for one with a balcony

This hotel accidentally overbooked themselves and called our cell phone to inform us that there had been a booking system error only on the day of our arrival when we were already travelling to Bruges (we had booked via venere.com).

On our arrival, they looked up another booking website for us to find a room elsewhere. We ended up paying a high price for a hotel that was not great.

Please be careful that this hotel is not overbooked when you make your reservation via an external booking website.

Room Tip: Make sure the hotel is not overbooked or you will be stranded on arrival.

Good location, at an easy walking distance from the center. Our room (nr 102) was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good, in a pleasant dining room. Private, small parking, not included. Pleasant restaurant at a couple of minutes walk, Restaurant De Pepermolen.
