“Great Hotel - Affordable price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2012

Very nice hotel on the outskirts of the city center. 10 mins walk to the tourist parts. The hotel itself is modern and was very comfortable. The breakfast is served till 11am so no rush to get up in the morning to eat. If I had one suggestion - make parking free if you are a guest of the hotel. If you drive and would like to park at the hotel there is a 14 euro charge. It's probably the same throughout the city, but nonetheless free parking would have been a nice touch. Other than that, the hotel was great and had a fantastic bar atmosphere. I would def stay again.

Nice quiet hotel, very friendly and helpful reception staff and waitresses in breakfast room. Great the room had air conditioning however it was noisy, so turned it off...Quite out of the way however that had its good points too... lots of walking to be done in Brugge, so comfortable shoes is a must as I know to my cost!! Do do your reserch before going as theres lots to see but an itinery is a good idea...we walked from the station with a case!! not a good idea.....

Stayed at the Flanders for 2 nights. Really friendly on reception and was able to answer any query. Breakfast was nice and the room was comfortable. We tried the swimming pool and was lucky that we had it to ourselves as it is very small. We got a taxi to the hotel from Brugges station which was 15 euros including tip of 3 euros but you can get a bus which is what we did on our way home. It stops right outside the hotel and only cost 2 euros to the station. The number bus you get is 16 or 6. I wish I had know that going there. The bell tower is worth climbing the steps for especially when the bell rang while we were at the top. Go early morning though as it is less busy I wouldn't want to climb them steps if it was busy with people coming down. River boat ride is lovely. Really had a lovely break.

Stayed here for our first night in Brugge. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable although the colour scheme wasn't the nicest but thats down to personal preference. The outside terrace of the hotel bar was very nice and relaxed. Breakfast is included in the price of the rooms making it excellent value for money. It has a wide selection of bacon, eggs, pastries, meats and cheeses along with teas, coffees and fruit juices so will accommodate everyone. The only gripes would be the pool was closed and the lift broke down when we were checking out so we had to carry heavy suitcases down from the top floor. All in all a pleasant stay in a comfortable clean value for money hotel. Would reccomend.

After travelling through the narrow streets of Bruges you come across a gleaming white façade with flags flying you are welcomed into a very clean, crisp and modern hotel. The reception staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. They have an extensive knowledge of where to visit in the surrounding area along with greats tips of where to eat and enjoy the best deals. The rooms are very modern, clean and well maintained. Tea and coffee making facilities are available along with a very reasonably priced mini-bar. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and the breakfast's offered an abundance of choice - something for everyone. The hotel also had a really nice bar attached and again the staff were really friendly and very accommodating. We found the Flanders Hotel a perfect base for sightseeing in and around Bruges.

This is a great hotel, clean and well looked after, worth every penny. A word off advice though, ring ahead and book your parking space as it is limited and first come first served basis.

Also breakfast was nice, but grill the bacon don't deep fry it!

We stayed here over a very wet April weekend.
It has a great location just a five minute walk from the city centre which is flat and very pretty with lots to see and do.
The hotel appears traditional from the outside but is completely modernised throughout. It has a a nice airy dining room that serves a very varied choice for breakfast including all the usual fruits, mixed bread and cereals, selection of 3 cold meats, 3 cheeses, boil your own eggs, bacon, scrambled egg, tomatoes and mushrooms, a good tea and coffee selection and 4 fruit juices. They were very obliging even offering room service on request.
Our bedroom did not have a great view but was on the whole comfortable. Modern TV and tea/coffee provided plus two easy chairs and side table.
The bathroom was very modern and clean and included a bidet and a very deep bath which was a bonus after walking around on a cold rainy day.
The only down side was twin beds pushed together to form a double bed, but with very lumpy mattresses.
The reception staff were very welcoming and gave us lots of easy to follow advice on where to go.
i would recommend the hotel but ask for a good bed.

Room Tip: Ask for one with a street view.
