Owner description: The 115 metres high brick tower of the Church of Our Lady is a perfect illustration of the craftsmanship of Bruges' artisans. The church displays a valuable art collection: Michelangelo's world-famous Madonna and Child, countless paintings, 13th-century painted sepulchres and the tombs of Mary of Burgundy and Charles the Bold.

this church is undergoing major works at the moment. I hadn't planned to visit it but I noticed lots of people going in. I walked around and it is a gorgeous building. Worth visiting

Had a quick visit to see the interior although there are currently some building works taking place so some areas not quite accessible.
Its a pity you have to pay to see the statue of the Madonna and child by Leonardo, but I suppose the church needs to raise funds.

As many reviews have said, the church is under going significant renovation and is therefore a bit of a building site, but I would still recommend going if just to see the Michelangelo

Amazing Church, worth a visit, just to wonder at the craftsmanship of the times, How did they achieve this magnificence Church without today's modern building equipments. If you go make a point of looking out for the tombs under the two main coffins which you can see through the glassing flooring under these coffins - the drawings, writings inside these tombs are beautiful set to the left of the church's main worship chapel and after you have been to the Silence chapel, also on your left.
