Owner description: The 115 metres high brick tower of the Church of Our Lady is a perfect illustration of the craftsmanship of Bruges' artisans. The church displays a valuable art collection: Michelangelo's world-famous Madonna and Child, countless paintings, 13th-century painted sepulchres and the tombs of Mary of Burgundy and Charles the Bold.
Useful Information: Wheelchair access

I visit this church every time I go to Brugge; unfortunately they have joined the tourist trade and younow have to pay to go around the church and see the works of art. Still worth going in to look from the back.

This is where you get to see the fantastic Michelangelo statue - the expression on the Virgin's face is unforgettable.

Touring the Church of Our Lady is a must when visiting Bruges. Interesting stained glass, medieval tombs. Michelangelo's Bruges Madonna alone is worth the price of admission. She lives up to her reputation.

This is a beautiful church where the white marble sculpture of the Madonna and Child created by Michelangelo can be found. The church can be visited for free. However, to see the Madonna and Child and the tombs of Charles the Bold, last Valois Duke of Burgundy, and his daughter, the duchess Mary, the artwork by Anthony Van Dyck, Carravaggio, a fee is required. This is very much worth the visit.

The Church of our Lady was on our list of must do's while in Brugge. The main attraction of the church is the Madonna and Child by Michelangelo, it was donated to the church in 1506 and is one of the only sculptures by Michelangelo available outside of Italy. It was breath taking and I just stood and stared at it for quite a while, it's just beautiful, breathtaking and emotional experience. The artwork and woodwork in the church are also beautiful. It's definitely a must see while in Brugge, there is a small fee to enter the "museum" area of the church and in order to see the crypts, the sculpture and the most beautiful of the art works, it's worth every penny and I would have paid more to see this!
