“Warm Stay in December”
Reviewed December 29, 2006

The hotel is a great find for the budget traveler. My friend and I stayed there four nights. The room was clean, tidy and well heated. This was important in December. The hotel is near the chuch of St. Gilles, where Hans Memling is buried. So it was always easy to find, whether on foot, or in a car. We drove in on a foggy night, and somehow drove to the hotel in short order. Again, we made a day trip to Ghent, found our way out and back in fairly easily. Paul has reserved parking spots a half block away in a secured parking garage.
This is a quiet area of town, and there are other hotels of two and three stars nearby. We didn't look in on them, although they looked comfortable from the outside.
Nearby there are a couple of restaurants: Tom's Diner, where a youngish crowd of cigarette puffers can be found. Also, around the corner was the Oud Handbogenhof, which served solid food and was good value, but the owners were not at all friendly toward foreigners.

I stayed at this hotel over a weekend in September. I shared a room with 2 other friends - the room was small but immaculately clean, nice bathroom and plenty of towels for the 3 of us. The hotel owner, Paul, was kind and helpful, providing recommendations for restaurants and shopping when we asked. The restaurants he recommended were perfect for what we wanted. Breakfast was nicely done and filling, with eggs, various breads, fruits, and cheeses. The location was also ideal - not too close to the main square but within an easy walk. It is right next to a church and we enjoyed hearing the church bells ringing. If I return to Brugges I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel, basic rooms, very clean, fine breakfast. Paul is a great host.

Location is perfect, a quiet area five minutes from town. Will visit Brugge and the hotel again.

Hotel Fevery is about ten minutes' walk north of the heart of Bruges, and is a small but very well-run family hotel. The manager Paul is very efficient and helpful, and he'll most likley give you a handful of discount vouchers to use around town as soon as you arrive. Breakfasts are regular fare but good, and the rooms are ensuite and exceptionally clean with TV. The only fault is that the showers are low pressure and, on one of the two mornings we stayed there, we couldn't get hot water. But I suspect that was a run-off. It's really a great value option.

We have stayed at this fantastic small family run hotel for the past 8 years and always come back for the friendly service and ideal accommodation that Paul offers.

The breakfast makes a great start to the day and leaves the evening available to sample the many splendid restaurants within walking distance. Paul always makes a booking for us at Tom's Diner which is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

The only concern that I have about writing the deserved glowing report about the Fevery is that it will be fully booked when we want to return!

A wonderful visit at the Fevery and Brugges. Arrived by train and took the taxi to the hotel. About 9 Euros so not a a big deal. Met Paul and he was very helpful regarding the area and what to visit. He also recommended two places close to eat that were wonderful.

Walked to and from downtown Brugges and it was only about a 15 minute walk. Brugges was just wonderful. Took the boat tour and the bus tour. Both gave a great overview of the town.

The hotel room was very clean with a very nice bed. Bathroom clean and easy to use. Breakfast was a normal breakfast with good quality and quantity including soft boiled eggs. Used the computer and only 2 Euros for an hour. Good connection.

Paul was very helpful and we would stay at the Fevery again.

This was our first visit to Brugge, hopefully not our last, the hotel had a very friendly atmosphere. Paul, the owner, was very helpful in giving advise on where to visit and where to eat.
The rooms were very clean and the breakfast just right. Fevery is in an ideal location, quite, but only a short walk from the centre of town. There are some fantastic restaurants and bars close by. We intend on visiting Brugge again: and will book the Fevery for our next visit.
