Everything was perfect during our stay! We were warmly welcomed and our two floors bedroom
was just great! It was extremely well decorated and very clean. They even put a teddy bear in our son's bed! The main bathroom was luxurious! The staff was extremely polite and always helpful. Breakfast was just wonderful!! The hotel is extremely well located and it was possible to make small stops whenever necessary. It is definitely a place where we will return!

Room Tip: I would choose a room with a river view.

As a frequent traveller for business and sometimes pleasure you tend to notice good service particularly when its done without any expectation of monetary reward! The staff at Orangerie were world class, delightful and efficient. brugge is all the guide books say and the hotel accomodation is superbly located and worth the money. We have already recommended this to many friends and cant speak well enough of this truly lovely place to stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room by the Canal!

We stayed in the Belfry room to accommodate 3 people; lovely views of the rooftops of Bruges and the various cathedrals. This hotel is 20 rooms and small enough to feel homey. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, they make you feel very welcome! We did have the hotel's breakfast, which is a little expensive unless you really stuff yourself, but you pay for the atmosphere and service. We also had tea, which was delightful. The hotel is about a five minute walk from the main tourist square, so it's a very convenient location.

Room Tip: We peeked into a few rooms while they were being cleaned and they all looked nice. However, if you a...

I was overjoyed at having discovered this romantic boutique type hotel some years ago. Tucked away in a quiet canalside location not far from the main square, this 15th Century building still has many original features. The rooms are exquisitely furnished with antiques, sumptuous huge beds, gas log fires, and each time I stay I choose a different room, as none are alike. Once I am here, I love to sit beside the fireplace in the lounge, with its huge barley twist supports, and select a nightcap from the extensive selection at one's disposal on the large silver tray in the centre of the room. I really look forward to having breakfast here, the panelled dining room is truly remarkable. I always have some champagne, and the kitchen will prepare practically anything you ask for, within reason. The staff are totally polite and helpful without being stuffy or formal, which I like very much. If you enjoy indulging and pampering yourself, then I recommend a night or two at the Orangerie, Bruges is a fabulous town to visit and discover. The hotel offers a limo service or they will take care of your car parking for you. Why not try high tea on the canalside terrace.....?

Room Tip: Each room is individually furnished.

Stayed for 4 nights could not have been improved - sorry pillows could have been softer & the heating was too efficient
Staff so helpful & friendly nothing too much trouble parking car etc etc. Comments have been made about expensive breakfasts but you get what you pay for + ambience hence QED value for money.
Two lounge areas with log fires.
I have no hesitation in recommending to anyone & will be returning. It is rare to find such a "gem" in a central location

We stayed for two days and were so impressed with this beautiful friendly cosy hotel right in the centre of the city. We were met at the door, car parked for us and ourselves and friends and exceptional quiet rooms, with every luxury. Our drinks in the cosy lounge with open fire was perfect. The breakfast was included in our rate as we booked well in advance and was a fantastic experience complete with champagne. All the staff were superb and as we left we were given a goody bag for our journey home our car bought to the door. Do not miss this hotel for a little luxury. Expensive but worth it. The only fault was the pillows were a little uncomfortable.

We arrived at the hotel by car from UK for a long weekend. We were warmly greeted by the receptionist and helped with bags from our car up to our room. The car was also taken away and parked securely for us. We had room 105 a 'luxury room' on the first floor which faces the street. We did not hear the street noise as the rooms are double glazed and have think curtains, so this was not a problem, we had hoped the room might face the canal, but unfortunately it was an extra 80E to upgrade. The location of the hotel is excellent, could not be more central. Our room was extremely well presented and a good size for a 2 night stay. The only downside was the bathroom was very dated and was quite small. There was no shower curtain up, so our bathroom floor got very wet. I informed the receptionist who informed me it was due a refurbishment very soon.

The hotel staff were extremely accommodating and let us know the best places to visit and restaurants, pubs to visit. Within the hotel is a lovely relaxing room with an open fire and a bar. We enjoyed a few hours sitting here after dinner reading books and drinking the whiskeys/wine they have on offer - definitely a highlight of the hotel. Breakfast was not included in our price so we opted to try the eateries the city has to offer.

Overall an excellent hotel in the heart of Bruge, perfect for a weekend visit.

De Orangerie Hotel is located right on the most picturesque canal of medieval Bruges in the very heart of the city centre. This small XV century monastery of the Sisters Karthuizerinnen has been converted into a wonderful "boutique hotel", furnished with exclusive fabrics (Braquenié, Pierre Frey, Bennison, Ralph Lauren), antiques, and objets d'art. All of the 20 graciously proportioned bedrooms have been individually decorated with antiques, and offer all the modern comfort that the discerning traveller expects. In the elegant lounge along the canal, guests can relax by the open fire, in comfortable sofas while going through the available art books and international magazines, and enjoying a drink which is served round the clock. The winter garden lounge with its views on the “trompe l’oeil” Italian gardens is a haven of rest and tranquillity in fresh white and light-greyish colours. It is recommended to enjoy the typical English “Afternoon Tea” or an aperitif either on the waterfront terrace or in the cozy lounge. ... more   less
