We stayed for 3 nights in November with friends. The hotel is in a good location only 5 mins walk from the main square and next to a canal. The rooms were clean and good sized. It was cold and wet during our stay but the room was warm (not to stuffy like some we have stayed in), It had a nice bar area with several good local beers on offer. The breakfast was good and filling. The staff were friendly and helpfull. All in all a good value hotel in a great location.

Stayed for 3 nights, no complaints. The location was very good, only a 5 minute walk from the main square. The room we had was huge with 2 double beds, large bathroom with double sink, large bath / shower. The room was clean and well kept although very warm even with all the radiators turned off.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was the usual continental cold meats, cheeses, bread etc but was fresh and pleasant enough.
Only drawback was the bar, it was small and only open from 4pm to 10pm during which time the one person on reception had to work as both barman and receptionist which meant we sometimes had to wait a while. No reflection on the staff however who were happy to run back and forth between the bar and reception.

Stayed for 1 night only on a mini cruise break. Hotel very convenient for the market and shops but quite a walk from the railway station. Wish we had taken a taxi rather than pull suitcases along cobbled streets. Clean spacious rooms, lovely and warm, excellent shower. Breakfast very good, all staff very friendly. Would have liked tea and coffee in the bedroom, but would defiantly use again when visiting the wonderful Bruges.

We booked this when off to Bruges to see Newcastle play. We knew it would be expensive for beers and scran so wanted somewhere cheap. When we arrived we were expecting something along the line of a flea ridden Blackpool/ Whitely Bay guesthouse from the '60s. However this was a charming little place within a 5 minute walk of the main square and did a good continental style buffet breakfast all for approx £20 ppn! Would definitely stay here again - comfy beds, nice welcoming staff contrary to what the Belgian authorities had been...

Short and sweet version: Stayed here for two nights and would definitely consider staying again next time I was in Bruges.

Room was clean, the bed comfortable and the en suite perfectly acceptable. We had a room on the top floor which had a lot of character with exposed timber etc but was a bit on the dark side. Didn't really speak to the staff as members of our group knew Bruges well but generally they seemed friendly and welcoming.

As others have said the location is great and the main market square is only a few minutes walk.

A few things I would improve include the lighting in our room needs some renovating (502 I think but not 100% sure now, top floor first one you pass after the stairs), it would really show off the room to its full potential. The bath was a little small for a shower so personally I would switch the bath for a walk in shower cubicle, I know this is not everyones preference. The breakfast was ok and no major complaints but could be improved a little.

Room Tip: Rooms on the top floor are possibly a little bigger than the ones lower down but the lift (elevator) only goes as far as the floor below.
