Stayed recently for 3 nights, we did not use the hotel to eat in but did use the bar area and sat out in the small garden at the back (could do with an umbrella for a bit of shade but that's personal choice) The hotel is really centrally located, we had a room on the top floor which would have been hellish if not for the aircon, it was a very well appointed room with all you need including a kettle tea\coffee which is always something we love. The staff were all really pleasant and helpful. Would have no trouble recommending this hotel to anyone. You can get there very easily by bus from the station for 2 euros, however, as it was our first visit finding a landmark on the bus is harder than you think and there is more than one square before you need to get off the bus, we ended up totally missing the stop and going out of the centre crossed the road and came back in! but actually it helped us with the geography of the centre for the rest of our trip so amusingly worth the extra 4 euros to get us back in...... The only reason I did not give the hotel an excellent rating was the bed was comfortable but a better mattress would have been spot on.

Hi

Just returned from a 2 night stay at the Navarra, Bruges. Just like the majority of the other reviewers we marked it as being top rate. Staff, location, cleanliness and charactor was very impressive and I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to others.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the front of the hotel which has a fairly constant stream of traffic runnin...

We wanted a good quality hotel near the centre of Bruges for a short stay and this one really hit the spot. Fabulous building within 5 mins walks for the main square. The rooms are really well appointed and spotlessly clean and it is far enough away form the square for you not to have your sleep disturbed.

Staff were all very attentive and always willing to help and it is apparently that this is a very well run and a happy place to work for the staff.

We arrived early and our room wasn't ready however the staff were more than happy for us to store our luggage until our room was ready! Nothing was an issue! Even when we asked to leave our luggage while we explored the city the next day even though we had checked out, again not an issue! They even kept my partners camera equipment in a different storage location due to the value of the goods! We were very impressed! The room was beautiful, modern and very clean! Only thing I would say is the air conditioning kept turning off during a very hot day, this meant a bit of a warmer night than anticipated! However this was a minimal issue considering how good this hotel is! Breakfast is lovely as well! Good variety and choice! Will definitely be staying again in the future!

MY wife and I took a three day break in Bruges. We went by car and ferry and the drive from Calais to Bruges was very easy and pleasant only taking just over an hour. The hotel Navarra was situated right in the centre of Bruges. Once we had parked our car we did not use it again until we drove home. We could walk from the hotel around central Bruges. If you don't like walking you could hire a bike or take a horse and cart ride around the beautiful city. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was super and had everything that we needed. The breakfasts were excellent and the bowl of sweets at reception were visited on a number of occasions. Our room was spacious and cool with the air conditioning which we needed because it was a very warm weekend. The hotel had a jazz bar which added to it's already excellent facilities. The only downside of the hotel was that it charged for parking. (17 Euros a night.) I am told that this is normal for European cities. That aside our stay was wonderful and we took full advantage of the central situation of the hotel, visiting many restaurants, bars, museums, canal boat trips and other landmarks that Bruges has to offer.

Room Tip: Room 12 was spacious and had everything we needed.

Stayed for three nights as part of a package with Eurostar and were very impressed with Hotel Navarra. Would suggest this is a "happy ship" judging by the friendly, helpful, staff. We asked for a quiet room in an extension at the back of the hotel. If you had rain (we didn't) you could get to reception and breakfast through the hotel but that involved stairs, otherwise just a short walk. The room was excellent with good Wifi, excellent choice of TV channels, mini bar (reasonable prices), room safe and effective A/C. Breakfast and the service that went with it, was top class. There is a well equipped bar in the hotel for coffee and drinks but no evening meal available. They, rightly we feel, suggest that, with all the choice in the town, you would be eating out anyway. Located just 150 yards from the Markt, the main square and centre of the town, you could not be better located. Despite the very high noise level of the rock band on Sunday night it was quiet in the hotel. The indoor pool and fitness centre looked very well equipped but with all the other things to do in this fabulous old town we did not make use of them.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back will be exceptionally quiet.

The hotel is a couple of hundred meters from the Markt area which is really central. There are quite a few options for getting buses from Station to Markt, like the 1 and 12 which bring you to the lower end of Markt and then it's just a short walk - this cost us €2 each.

The hotel itself if very nice and has a very sedate feel to it and the staff are extremely helpful. Book the breakfast in advance if you want it as its £10 pre-booked or €17.50 at the hotel. We didn't bother with the breakfast as there are so many restaurants out and about and I wanted waffle lathered in chocolate with strawberries which they don't have.

I was a bit disappointed with the room, it had everything that was in the description but was very small and I felt quite basic in furnishings for a 4* hotel. The bathroom was again bijou but was well finished. In fairness though I think most hotel rooms in Bruges are small given the nature of the place and with so many great sights on offer we didn't spend long in the hotel.

When I read this review back it has a negative feel but that was not my experience. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Bruges and I'd go back to the same hotel again.

Room Tip: Room 203 - aircon blows directly onto you if you're lying down, view is of fire escape and inter...
