“Amazing food and stay!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2013 via mobile

We had the pleasure of staying at this restaurant/hotel for 3 nights. We happened to stumble upon it and we were so glad we did. The food was one of the best we've ever had - and definitely the best we had in Bruges - and our room was impeccable. The owners were also very hard working and gracious towards their guests. As guests of the hotel we had a plentiful breakfast, cheese, bread, pâté, yogurt, fruit and much more, and it was all included in the room rate. All in all, a very memorable stay in Bruges.

“Very good.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2013

Our first night in Brugge. We didn't want anything too touristy. This was just dandy. The waiter was excellent. The Flemish and lamb stews were very tasty and filling. The only complaint ( and this may seem petty ) was that we ordered the liver pate as a starter. The waiter then brought a pate with the wine. We thought this was the one we ordered. Turns out, it was something they served with the drinks. So..two pates. Nice though. I would recommend this restaurant.

“Don't leave Bruges without trying the stew!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2013

The restaurant had a very cosy, warm, candel lit atmosphere. The staff were kind and most helpful. We chose the beef stew with frites (which a tour guide suggested we should try) The stew was pentiful, as were the frites......the quality was excellent. I could not eat a pudding afterwards.
't Bagientje, was a short walk from the centre of Bruges. The restaurants in the centre charge much more than other areas and this venue was definitely worth the 10 minute walk!

“no so great, average cuisine, one visit is enough for us”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 26, 2013

Heard great reviews from this restaurant so we decided to go there. The food is not so great after all, more the average type. The lamb navarin only had 3 pieces of lamb and a lot of vegetables. They should change the name to vegetables navarin with a taste of lamb! And they ask a lot for that dish. The starter of bone of marrow: big bone with a little bit of marrow that tasted a lot better in another restaurant than here. The starter of smoked salmon with a taste of whiskey: the whiskeytaste was hard to find. The vol-au-vent was good. That was the only dish of the total of 4 that was good. Been there once but won't go there again. There are better restaurants in Bruges

“Great”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2013

't Bagientje is a great restaurant, located in between the trainstation and the historic centre of Bruges. Local specialities are on the menu and the service is great. In summer there's a wonderful terrace. Great food for a good price.
