As always, the Ibis hotel had clean rooms with helpful staff. Beds were a good size, there was a small TV with a few English speaking channels, and the bathroom was very standard. The shower was not a power shower, rather one over a bath- but the water was definately warm enough.
This hotel was in a great location for the centre, set about a 5minute walk from the main market square (Bruge is very walkable anyway). There didn't appear to be much outside space but the bar inside was ample, and often very busy, open 24 hours.
Breakfast had a good selection- mostly breads, eggs, cheeses and ham. It is however overpriced and probably worth going to one of the independent cafes instead.
Parking is not free, but in the underground car park underneath the hotel. It cost about £15 for two nights.More
