We have been twice to Bruges and both times for the Christmas markets because it's just a magical medievel city.
When we arrived at the 'Pand' - situated just off the central square and down a quiet tree lined road - we where shown a little room almost in the attic, decorated in a deep pink colour with pink flowery curtains and bedding and a pink bathroom. Sorry not for me, so I asked if there was another room available. We were shown into the Ralph Lauren JR Suite - Cassie Blue number 106 with it's typical Lauren blue and white theme; a very comfy four poster bed and good size bathroom.
The breakfast in the morning was superb, situated in a cosy white pannelled room with a big Aga at one end. The bar / lounge was just as cosy in the evenings.
I can't wait to visit again .... probably next time try a different season.
Bruges is by far my most favourite small city.

Room Tip: Ralph Lauren JR Suite - Cassie Blue number 106 over looks the tree lined avenue.

Let me know first acknowledge how warm, professional and attentive the staff are in this beautiful boutique hotel. This is very much a boutique hotel, cosy full of character and charm. Rooms are small but in my opinion it adds to the charm.

The breakfast is not included in the rate but would recommend dining one morning at least (although decent restaurants in Bruges are all similar priced)€17-€22 Eggs are cooked on AGA in front you, freshly squeezed orange juice and even a glass of champagne!
The lobby was my favourite,we had the place to ourselves whilst having drinks in front of the fire. Much welcomed after being out in the freezing cold all day!

In summary,a prefect location, full of charm and character.

Discreetly tucked away, yet central, this is a handsomely appointed little hotel. We enjoyed a junior Ralph Lauren suite, gorgeous textiles and furnishings. nice hut tub, charming view. Though there are lovely things to eat all around this charming little town, breakfast in the hotel is really worthwhile. The dining room is sweet, the variety plentiful, and they prepare your food right in front of you on the big Aga cooker. Nice.

Pretty, charming, cosy, luxurious. The perfect hotel to stay at when in Bruges. Tucked on a lovely little street just a short walk away from all the hustle and bustle of the town. A lovely retreat from the madness that decends on Bruges in December!

We booked a Ralph Lauren junior suite, lovely sized room, 4 poster bed, luxurious decor. Only con was the small toilet but liked the fact that it was separate from the bathroom.
Its set in amongst buildings/ nearby streets so the views are mostly of bricked rooftops which are strangely appealing and remind you of a victorian christmas film set.

Gorgeous bar, small and intimate and a place that people only came to if they stayed at the hotel. Taking your drinks into the lounge is a danger- only for the fact that you'd never want to leave the place! Two rooms with large cosy sofas, a roaring fire, books, an old piano... the epitome of Christmas and cosiness!

Staff are wonderful and helpful, breakfast is a must. We had room service one day which was stunning and delicious, even came with a glass of champagne! The next day we went downstairs to the dining room, what a charming and personal experience. They cook that food on an ara set up in the room, with the cook specifically taking your order and cooking your food there and then.

Travel tips: if going in december, book restaurants in advance, do some research on the best places to eat and drink as they get busy full of tourists! Don't go up the tower on the weekend as its so busy! Also, Christmas market was okay, not the best so just enjoy the town and its charm... for me, the hotel made the trip a wonderful experience.

The master suite was a good size, very comfortable, well kitted out etc....waking up on Sunday morning with the balcony doors open listening to the numerous churh bells was a great way to start the day, followed by breakfast in the restaurant which was really good.
We took their advice on three places to eat and they were exactly what we wanted. When BA cancelled our flight home, the receptionist was helpful in getting us home too.

We'd stay there again if/when we go back to Bruges.
