This hotel is in an excellent location for the main square, when exploring Bruges we noticed some of the other hotels we were considering staying in (any of the top tripadvisor ones) and they were all much further away from the Markt. They may be on a canal, but I would prefer to be close to the action than possibly get a room that overlooks a canal!

Pros:
-Location
-The bed was large and comfortable.
-An iPad was in each room for the guests to use which is a nice touch!
-TV is nice & big
-shower was reasonably powerful
-pretty, extravagant decor throughout the hotel
-we asked to check in early & they made sure our room was ready (no extra charge)
-we could store our luggage at the hotel after we checked out whilst awaiting our travel time
-receptionists were very friendly & helpful, a stark contrast to the restaurants & shops in Bruges where generally staff cannot get you out of there quick enough

Cons:
-No tea or coffee making facilities, you have to order it on room service (costs €8 for 1 tea & 1 coffee)
-no bathrobes
-stairs are a bit treacherous for tall people!
-room was small & had no view (room 22) but this was fine by us!

If we go back to Bruges we will definitely stay at this hotel again, I don't think we'd even consider any others!

Thank you for your comments, our location is indeed very central and very close to Bruges' highlights. We appreciate also your cons comments and will take them into careful consideration.
We are thrilled that you enjoyed your time in Bruges and our hotel, we hope you will return very soon!

Our stay in Brugge was charming in all ways.
Brugge ows is reputation of "Little Venice" or "Northern Venice".
Hotel Heritage is the perfect place to stay at Brugge, near the historic center, very calm, very kind and professional personnel.
Our room was at the top floor, charming, very clean and very well equiped.
Unfortunately the Mystique restaurant was closed for holidays, but we have appreciate the delicious breakfast buffet.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights 9th-12th July 2012. The hotel is well situated in the
centre of Bruge. You can park outside to pass your bags to the concierge and then move your car to a nearby car-park-3min walk. Hotel staff were very friendly, helpful knowledgeable and courteous. Room was nicely decorated and very clean. Bed turned down each night. We didn't eat in the hotel but usually returned for a night-cap in the lounge and were treated to petit-four from the chef...nice touch. On leaving we were presented with some bottles of water and goodies to see us on our way..When we go to Bruge again we will definitely stay at the Hotel Heritage.

Excellent Hotel in the heart of the City. Parking nearby, unload luggage in front of hotel, and met by porter to help with bags. Excellent check in at reception, very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms lovely and clean. Excellent service. I can thoroughly recommend the Heritage Hotel for your stay in Brugge. Thanks to the Hotel reception, and all staff, for making us very welcome and our stay very pleasant.

My husband and I and six friends stayed here June 10-11, 2012. Claudia checked us in and she is delightful! She upgraded all of our rooms and they were very nice. Our double room was a little on the small size but most hotel rooms in Europe are smaller than we are used to in the United States. The rooms were not ready when we arrived, but we left our luggage there and it was delivered to our rooms. The lobby is quaint and comfortable and our group often gathered there to visit. One evening half of our group stayed in and had drinks in the gorgeous bar. They had a very relaxing time there and felt like they were very well taken care of. The hotel is in the perfect location -- one block from the main square and one block from the best chocolate store, Dumon Chocolatier. This was my second trip to Bruges and if I am lucky enough to get to travel there again, I will stay at this hotel!
