Visited this as my husband is a train enthusiast. Large layout in what appears to be a cafe/bar. Only one train running - very disappointing!

We visited this on a cold day and after reading reviews on tripadvisor and we were a bit disappointed, only one train moving on the layout and a lack of atmosphere as the place was empty. Tea and hot chocolate were uninspiring

OK, so the first thing to say is that this is a Cafe! It just happens to have a massive model railway. The deal is that if you have something in the cafe it's free to look at the railway. We decided to have a coffee and while we were there four couples came in asking to look at the railway, when the guy explained the deal they went again. Can't help but think he's missing a trick here, why not charge them 1 eruo to look at the railway rather than watch them leave. It really should say what it is on the leaflets etc.

My 8 year old Hornby fanatic found this place a real thrill. Mum and Dad were equally impressed by the chance to sit down and enjoy a marvellous Belgian beer whilst the little people were entertained by this brilliant model railway.

My little boy's eyes nearly popped out of his head when he saw the train. Many days have been spent just on the minute details; it was truly fascinating.

A nice rest, with nice coffee too.

There was also a little area/ section with Lego, toys and books.
