We can highly recommend this place, although if you were passing trade you could easily give this a miss. We also stayed in the Marilyn Munro room, which was very elegant and spacious. We were given a very warm welcome from the staff and the breakfast was excellent. We dined elsewhere but the food did look really good, and had we stayed longer would have certainly eaten in the bistro. There seemed to be a lot of local visitors, which is always a good sign.

The location was excellent for sightseeing and we were very happy with the parking arrangements. The entrance (on foot) to a very large underground car park is just outside the hotel and the cost for 24 hours is only 8 Euros 70. We're used to parking in Cambridge so this is a bargain! Unfortunately, we had some difficulty finding the car entrance to this car park but it is quite straightforward. You need to drive down an underpass (dual carriageway) and half way along you'll find the entrance!

Great place to stay in Bruges. There are three rooms above the bistro - all themed with Hollywood stars. We had the Marilyn Munro room at the front of the building, which was a beautifully decorated and good size room, with a seating area, huge windows and doors opening onto a small Juliet balcony overlooking the outdoor eateries on the street. We had no worries with noise and the bed was very comfortable. There is a lovely modern bathroom. It is within walking distance of the train station and also the market square (centre of town). A nice continental breakfast is served by Dimitri, the young owner, who is lovely, and happy to help in any way. We also had a great evening meal here - the food is delicious. There is no elevator in this building, but Dimitri helped us up the stairs with our luggage and offered information on things to see in Bruges. We highly recommend this establishment.

A visit to Bruges for the Christmas markets meant us staying in this fantastic hotel for a one night stay. Although a one night stay, we were superbly welcomed and the staff were almost overly attentive, we were shown to our room which turned out to be a huge surprise considering a very affordable price paid, it was stunning, artistically chic and perfectly decorated and superbly equipped, it was a joy to find a kettle in a European hotel room. I couldn't have asked for a nicer room. The breakfast is by far the best offering I have experienced in many European hotels! unlimited bread! toasts! meats and jams! juices and coffees also.

We drove here and there is a car park at the train station which is just round the corner, it is pricey but a necessity if driving.

A must stay if visiting Bruges.

Lots of restaurants, bars and hotels in this area. This stands out as one of the busiest. The staff are all wonderful and really make residents feel extremely valued and special.
Really liked the decor and the theme. Internet worked perfectly in the room and in the bistro area. Breakfast included in the rate - enjoyed the perfect egg and some very tasty bread and croissant.
The room was hot, so air conditioning would make this a five star. Not sure of this is possible in such an old building. Despite the mosquito screen at the window, we shared the room with one and it dined on us. I guess in keeping others out, it kept this one in. Having said that my Dad who has trouble sleeping had the best 2 nights sleep he has had in years, we may need to move him in permanently!

Ate in their bistro and had a superb meal - and then a wandered up to bed.

Our Westie was made most welcome too.

The underground car park lift comes out just in front of Hollywood Logies, nice walks - particularly enjoyable with our dog especially after the confines of Brussels.

We look forward to our next visit.

This hotel has 3 delightful rooms above the restaurant. Each room is themed, Charlie Chaplin, Marilyn Monroe and James Dean. We had the MM and JD rooms and they were both clean and spacious. The decor was comfortable and include a coffee and tea maker. The bathroom is pristine, although I would suggest adding a shelf for soaps and such in the shower and towel hooks. The bed was a little too firm for me but my husband slept just fine. We enjoyed breakfast, but would have preferred hard boiled rather than soft boiled eggs. I supposed we could have asked, but they were really busy that morning. Excellent location and underground parking was plentiful and easy to access. Staff was friendly as well.

Room Tip: I thought a room in the back would be quieter, but my sister said the front room was very quiet as w...

We really liked this hotel, the only drawback was how hot it got in the room. The hotel is above a restaurant so in order to get to reception you have to walk through the restaurant to the bar in the back to check-in. The staff were very friendly and immediately armed us with a map and tips for what to do when we arrived. The room and bathroom we were given was very spacious. The wifi worked perfectly.

Our only complaint was how hot the room got. There was no AC and the room baked in the sun all afternoon, even though temperatures only reached 24 degrees C that day. We had the window open when we went to sleep, but there was no circulation meaning we had little relief from the heat. We eventually had to close the window due to the noise from the street below us. Overall, a poor night's rest because of how stuffy it was, but I imagine this isn't an issue for most of the year.

The only other thing I found odd was that there were no towel racks or hooks to hang towels in the bathroom, not even for a hand towel. This is such a minor issue but has such an easy fix, I'm not sure why the owners haven't bothered to install any.

Room Tip: If you are staying here in the summer, ask if you can get a room facing away from the sun in the aft...

We stayed at this hotel April 12-14, 2013.

We came in by train from Brussels and walked to the hotel. It was about a 15 minute walk.

To check in you walk through the restaurant and check in at the bar.

We stayed in the Marilyn Monroe room and it was superb. LOVED the room. Floor to ceiling windows with a small terrace that looked out over the street. I am not a light sleeper so the Saturday morning market didn't wake me up. I really enjoyed people watching from the terrace.

The staff was fine. I didn't think the service was exceptional at all - they seemed fairly indifferent. Especially when we said the Internet wasn't working and all we got was a shrug. We tried it several times throughout the first 24 hours and finally went to the restaurant next door and used their Internet ... which luckily we were able to pick up in our bedroom.

It's very expensive for USA residents to have an international mobile phone plan so we depend heavily on wifi when we travel. It would be nice if the staff at the hotel would have made more of an effort to get the Internet working.

All in all - it was a good value, excellent room and a great location for walking all over the city. I wold stay again.
