“Lovely B&B just outside the center”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 14, 2011

Will definitely look to stay here again on our next visit! I chose this B&B after seeing really high marks on booking.com and on Trip Advisor, the 100€ per night rate was reasonable compared with the other options in Brugges . We enjoyed our stay here, the location was quiet, right near St. Anna's church, but within a 10 minute walk of the center of Brugges. We had less trouble finding it than I thought we would as there are only so many points of entry into the city because of the canals. We drove through one of the medieval gates to get there on the east side of the city near the windmills.

Payment is cash only. The owner, Claire, is very accomodating and helpful, when booking try to let her know what time you will be arriving, especially if not traveling with a phone.

The room was very comfortable and spacious, our room had a shower. Some of the reviews mention that there was no door between the room and bathroom but we did have a folding door between the two and so did the room next door. To get to our room on the 1st floor there was a winding flight of stairs we had to manage with our luggage, not a big deal for us but worth a mention for people not able to manage luggage upstairs. We stayed for 2 nights and the room was not serviced in between, no worry for us as I don't really need someone making my bed or new towels every day.

Breakfast was included in the rate, there were no hot items but there was plenty of food-fruit, cereal, bread, meat, cheese, pastries, yogurt, coffee, juice. Also free wifi and there's also a computer in the main hall that she let us use.

Parking is free for four hours in this part of Brugges between 9am-7pm and on Sunday so we had to return twice during the day to change the parking card which wasn't a problem because we were nearby.

We had a fantastic stay at Anna's and would go back in a flash! The room was amazing, with a fantastic Bed and double bath. We were looked after by Claires brother and sister-in-law and the were fantastic.

The breakfast was brilliant and the free parking was another massive bonus!

Dont Delay, if going to Bruges, book to stay here!

This B&B is absolutely fantastic. Great location, great welcome and great breakfast. It is a five minute walk from the Market and Burg, yet it is in a quiet and picturesque square. Our host Claire made us so welcome and provided us with tourist maps and information as soon as we arrived. The breakfast was excellent – freshly made fruit salad, fresh croissants, Danishes and pastries, meats, cheese, bread, rolls, yoghurt and cereals. Claire was on hand over breakfast and was always helpful with regards to questions about the city and to have a laugh with. The B&B is only a year and a half old so everything is new and looks exactly as it does in the website photos. The bed was really comfortable. Our room and bathroom were a good size. We had a view of a gorgeous church in the middle of the square. It is a 30 second walk from a canal. It is the best place I’ve stayed in for years and felt more like a 4 star hotel than a B&B.

Although both rooms are beautiful, I preferred our room with the shower out of the two lower priced rooms. The room with a bath has a shower over the bath rather than a separate shower, and although the bath is gorgeous it takes up a lot of room. The bathroom in the church view room is therefore much bigger and provides extra space for changing etc.

I loved this place and would definitely stay here again.

Its was a great place to stay, convenient for city centre, quiet at night, brilliant breakfast with plenty to choose from, the owner is very helpful with local details and places to eat and to see, room very clean, tea facilities in the room, large bathroom, warm and cosy, we had a wonderful stay and will go back. It was lovely walking around the streets to the town centre and along the canal,

We had a lovely stay at Anna's B&B for the weekend.
The breakfast was great. While it was not a hot breakfast, there was plenty to choose from including cheeses, meats, cereals, fruit, eggs.

The room was overlooking the church which was lovely. On street parking is available in vacant spaces around the church which was free.

The lady running it was very friendly and welcoming. She explained various attractions and markets.

Only two minor comments -
1) the room wasn't serviced during our stay. Not a major concern.
2) there was no door between the bathroom and the bedroom which would have been nice.

It is a lovely place to stay. I would recommend it to others.
