travelled up to hull with me and my wife picked up at chorlton street promptly at 10.10am and set off a few pick ups on the way (ashton stockport) could not get to board the ship till about 4.30pm so a couple of lengthy stops ensued one at a service station and a couple of hours at hull city centre, the trip to hull was ok a long one but we were in no rush as we had not got the kids with us.
boarding the boat was easy enough and we were given the keys to our room 1033 blue deck, the rooms are adequate if you want a suite pay more and get one they are clean and we did not spend much time in them anyway, the beds are really comfy and the quilts are warm, there is a heater/cooler adjustment on the ceiling which is handy as you can wake up hot sometimes.
we were near the piano bar which is nice, the main cabaret bar was ok at night bingo then a bit of a show, drinks are reasonable, the food on the boat was excellent plenty of choice and really nice both breakfast and tea's,
sea conditions were a little choppy but not scary pretty funny watching people stagger about trying to act like there not.
in the morning its up early for breakfast then you disembark the ship and board your coach, takes about twenty minutes to get to bruge, coach drops you off in a car park and you can either wait for a bus to take you into the centre of bruge or you can walk there which we did as it looked a nice walk, the city is a beautiful place lots and lots to see and do, we took a boat trip around the canals, the brewery tour, went into the cathedral and other just sight seeing stuff, got dropped off at 10.00 am and back on the coach at 4 so you dont get to long and the day goes fast so probably best to plan your day before you go.
all in all a great experience and cant wait to do it again!
