It was good, the food we had. We had a meat fondue. There are no starters and no desserts (other than ice cream). The service was fast but not very friendly and we had to ask about desserts and he just mentioned ice cream and vanished!!!

My fiancé spotted this during the day and we both thought it looked quaint and pretty with its chalk boards outside.
That evening we 'dined' and were given a choice of about 5 pricey meals. We both chose the beef stew which was very very average and therefore very overpriced, no choice of starter and the wine overpriced. I asked for a white or blonde beer, and was delivered Carling! Service was slow and forgetful! Maybe you'd like it if you wanted the cheese or meat fondue, however, the smell of a stale chip shop lingered on our clothes, I hate giving negative reviews, and tend to not review in these cases but would hate for someone to fall into the same trap.

We came across the restaurant on a ramble round Bruge and thought it looked worth a gamble, how wrong we were.

The menu is limited which I would have no problem with should it actually be nice, however our beef in Flanders ale (described as "marinated the night before to be served tomorrow") was essentially meat in oxo gravy, possibly beef, possibly cardboard we weren't sure and short of DNA testing had little way of checking. For the price (21 Euros) the portion was tiny, the tender carrots it was meant to contain were presumably so tender they had dissolved.

The meat fondue was as described, meat, and fondue, cant really go wrong there if you like fondue, bar the price of 24 euros. It was sold as coming with four sauces, and whilst technically true, 3 portions of what seemed to be mayonnaise and one of curry sauce was stretching descriptive license a tad.

Beers were overpriced even for Bruge, a bottle of Westmalle double, 80c in a supermarket, 2 euros in an overpriced bottle shop was 5 euros.

Music defied description.

This immediately became our favourite restaurant. Authentic Belgian cuisine served by a very experienced and enthusiatic waiter.

Same menu for years. Food o.k but we weren't even asked if we wanted starters or desserts. Wine very pricey. Disappointing.
