“Perfect for the traveller”
Reviewed March 28, 2013 via mobile

We arrived in Brugge at 0430 hrs on a Thursday morning without reservations but knowing that the hotel had spaces and had a 24 hr reception , very swift and easy.
The hotel is very smart, clean and tidy. But very basic.
The plus points, 50 euro a night , clean tidy functional.
Neg points, noisy air con , quite thin walls so noisy if your neighbours are loud you hear them, mattress is not the best and only one pillow.
Result ... Functional and met the requirements, would I use it again, definitely , would I recommend it, definitely, if you are in Brugge or traveling through this place is ok, and cheaper than the city center hotels.

The hotel is located next to the train station (after exiting the station, go up the stairs to your right, then walk to the elevators, one floor up and you are there). Staff was nice. Rooms were as expected. make sure to look at the photos of the room so you know what to expect regarding the shower and toilet. Shower is in the room with glazed glass doors. toilet is in a separate area with door, but the door almost does not entirely close the space. Be sure you stay with family or very close friends! Bed was uncomfortable (thin mattress and platform bed) but good enough for one night.

We stayed here for 3 nights on a startlingly-cold February weekend. Very conveniently located next to the main car park at the station - very cheap parking. It's a 20 minute walk to the main square, though you can easily catch a bus from the front of the station. Rooms are tiny, but all you need for a short stay. Rooms at the back overlook the station, so not very pretty, but no issues with noise. Lifts sometimes take a while to arrive as they seem to go everywhere else first. Breakfast seemed a little expensive - there are places for coffee and pastries in the station 2 minutes walk away. Handy little supermarket nearby too as drinks from the vending machines are extortionate. Overall would recommend but don't expect The Ritz.

Located at the bus/train station this hotel is just 10 mins walk into centre of Bruge , if you have driven over the huge car park is a mere 3.50 euros for 24 hours & if you show your car park ticket you get free travel on the bus in & out of the town !
Rooms very clean, modern & very compact but have everything you would need for a short stay, bed could be a little more comfortable, the towels are plentiful but small so would advise taking a bath towel with you, but other than that very good value for money, this was our second time at this hotel & would definitley stay again.

Good location being about a ten minute walk from the centre of Bruges. Hotel is clean, in fact ours was cleaned when we went out in the morning and re-cleaned again later in the day after we'd been out a second time. Staff are friendly and helpful. Did not have the breakfast there as there is a cafe next to the car park which sells lovely baguettes and fresh orange juice for half the price!

Very similar to other Ibis hotels, the only difference being that the shower (which changes colour!) is not in a separate room, but it still very private due to the glass used. The toilet is separate - don't worry! Beds are comfortable!

It's also worth staying hee for the funky lights which border the middle of the rooms.

Perfect for a young couple on a budget if you don't mind missing the non-necessities (ie. room service and a massive lounge/foyer etc.)

The hotel offers small but comfortable and clean. It is ideal for travelers who are visiting the city with little baggage because the rooms are very small and have no wardrobes, at least ours was well. Its location is very good because it is next to the train station and if you get Brugges train should not go dragging luggage around town. The hotel is a few blocks from the church of Notre Dame (Onze-Lieve-Vrounwekerk) and St. Saviour's Cathedral (Sint-Salvatorskathedraal).

Room Tip: Nuestra habitación estaba ubicada hacia a la estación de tren y era muy silenciosa.

Stayed here for a few nights, came to Brugge in the car from the UK, via Ferry. First thing I would say is if you are driving, you cannot park right outside the hotel, park in the station carpark then walk up some steps near there and you'll see red lights on the Ibis building (it's kind of above the carpark to the back almost, it's to the left of the Station) - there are no road signs for the IBIS at all and we drove round for ages. Carpark wasn't expensive, cost about £10 for 2 days roughly.

Quick check in upon arrival, staff spoke English, very clean and modern looking place. The room itself was very compact but you had everything you would need - bed, towels, loo, etc. Rooms seem to have a green and orange theme, was quite bright in decor. You had a television in the room which was free. Only criticism is the walls were thin, you could hear next doors conversation pretty easily. However outside noise was zilch - Our room view was of the station platforms, but we didn't hear the trains at all, the windows are so thick they block out the sound. Breakfast was included and was self service, was quite impressed by the quality of it. The vending machines were pricey in the lobby area but in the dining area there was a free water machine which although closed at night, it was available for use during the morning so you could top up your bottle of water if required.

Location wise - it is about 10-15 mins walk into the main square, opposite the station, across the traffic lights, there is a open alleyway and if you walk down there it leads you to all the main stuff. Depending on what way you walk there you see the Minnewater lake (lake of love) and it's a nice walk, horse and carts going around, and lots of other places.. Hotel wise, I would stay again but would catch the train next time. I was told there there is another Ibis which is right in the town but I can't comment on that one as I stayed in this one!
