“Well worth the detour”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

This restaurant is a little out of the main tourist centre of Bruges, but don't let that put you off. It's only a short walk and you are well rewarded once you get there. Everything from start to finish was superb. The service, the menu, the food - all absolutely first rate. We'd stumbled in by accident and luckily they had room but will make it our first port of call next time we're in town. Can't wait to be back.

“Fantastic, quirky restaurant in Bruges”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

We ate at this restaurant on our last night in Bruges. We literally just stumbled across it but were so impressed we had to sign up to trip advisor to write a review.

The decor was very kitch and charming which instantly inspires you to relax and enjoy the evening which gets ever better as the food and wine arrives.
One of the most impressive things about this place is the lovely, charismatic waitress/owner who really sets this restaurant apart as we found the general service in Bruges to be quite basic. The waitress advised us with our order describing portion sizes and order in which we should experience the dishes. We had a selection of the starters which you could chose in either starter size or main size. To start we had goats cheese on toasts with sweet mango which was delicious then moved onto mushrooms on toast and Parmesan and prawn croquettes - again both delicious.

We would highly recommend this restaurant in fact we missed our ferry crossing home because of this wonderful interlude.

“Welcoming hosts and good food.”
Reviewed July 26, 2013

I took my partner to Bruges for her birthday. We didn't want to eat in the centre of Bruges where the restaurants seem to try to cater for the masses, we wanted somewhere quiet, romantic, with a nice atmosphere and good food. I looked on Trip Advisor before we left and found Pro Deo which had very good reviews so I booked in advance.

When we arrived we were not disappointed. We found the host to be warm and welcoming, the atmosphere romantic and the food (quality, quantity and price) excellent. The beer was good too, but then it would be in Bruges.

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a nice meal, in nice surroundings without having to pay over the odds.

“A Hidden Gem in Bruges!”
Reviewed July 25, 2013

This is a quiet little restaurant about 7/8 min walk from the main square. With a definite sense of both appealing to tourists and locals, it is a great place to experience. Food quality was truly excellent, and portions are generous. If you are looking to enjoy a quiet diner with great quality food, this is it.
