The Next Door B&B is ideally situated within 5 minutes walk of all the main attractions in Bruges. It is clean, tidy and spacious. The host, Pieter is very friendly and helpful and seems to speak losts of different languages which helps to make his guests feel even more welcome. The breakfast was a very good continental spread. Our only grumble was not something that Pieter could do a lot about though! We had rain for 2 nights which caused an annoying dripping sound from the gutter right outside our window. A pair of ear plugs later and all was well though and it does not stop this from being an A1 review for the hotel. If you are driving, there is free parking on the ring road which is only 5 minutes walk away.

Room Tip: Bleu Bonheur was fabulously spacious but doesn't have any hanging space so don't pack stuff...

We had an excellent stay in Bruges. This B&B is run by a nice young guy named Pieter who tries hard and succeeds in making you feel welcome and comfortable. We stayed in the Bleu Bonheur (Blue Heaven) top floor room which was clean, quiet, and cozy. The generous and delicious breakfast is made by a very nice lady named Jo and is served in the beautiful dining room facing the courtyard. The place is only a 5 minute walk from the main market square.
Thank you Pieter and Jo for a fun and memorable stay that we will not forget.
Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Always try to stay on top floors in old buildings unless you want to hear floors creaking.

From the moment that we knocked at the door Pieter welcomed us to his home in the friendliest fashion. We were in Bleu Bonheur at the top of the house this was a magnificent room that was extremely comfortable, wonderfully decorated, and warm (it was very cold outside).
The shower was large & powerful with loads of hot water.
Breakfast was very generous lots of cheese & cold meats with very fresh breads & croissants, plenty of coffee & fresh orange.
Next Door is a slow walk of about 20 minutes to the station & about 15 to the Markt so is ideally placed, as its away from the centre it is quiet so that you have a great nights sleep.
Pieter is a great host & pays attention to detail and so obviously takes pride & pleasure in providing a great service. Prior to our arrival Pieter had taken the trouble to email me to provide very clear directions on how to get to Next Door from the station, it is the personal touches that you remember & make a place stand out from the rest.

Room Tip: They are all have their own unique qualities

We stayed at next Door Bed and breakfast over the Easter weekend and were very pleased with our choice. Although not in one of the prettiest streets in Bruges, it is very convenient for sightseeing and Pieter is a delightful host.
The master ensuite is a large comfortable room with a luxurious bathroom. The big radiators make the room very cosy if it's cold, if not ,having the windows open made it too noisy for me as the room is on the street side.
The breakfast room overlooks the garden where we served by Pieter with coffee etc and helped ourselves to cheeses, meats and croissants. We were given the code to come and go as we pleased and Pieter told us where to park for 8 euros a day.
Bruges is a delightful city, perfect for a long weekend.

My wife and I spent a few days in Bruges in April 2012, and upon entering the Next Door B&B, which is very well located (10 mins. walk to the City Center) we were swept off of our feet. Aside from the gorgeous, old-fashioned decor, which brought us back in time a few hundred years as soon as we entered, our host Pieter warmly welcomed us. In addition to free Wi-Fi access, a TV-DVD player, DVDs (including the movie 'In Bruges'), and a small fridge near to our room (located on the top floor, kknown as 'blue heaven'), the breakfasts were lovely! With fresh orange juice, bread and croissants, various cheese, cold meat, jam and fruit selections, as well as coffee/tea, alongside the calming sound of classical music setting the mood for the entire day, we looked forward to breakfast each morning! Overall, I highly recommend the Next Door B&B to any couple looking for a romantic few days together.

Again, thank you Pieter for making our time in Bruges an unforgettable one with your wonderful B&B. Should we return, we'll certainly stay with here again!

You'll find a high standard of hospitality, brought to you by Pieter, at this lovely Bruges guest house. It is 10 minutes walk from all the action, beautifully appointed, quiet with great breakfasts. Pieter is welcoming and helpful. We took the duplex room, which came with a private bathroom, up some stairs from the main bedroom itself, a hair dryer, dvd player, toiletries and tea/coffee as standard. Each room is individual in look and feel and the guest house is quiet enough to ensure a grand night's sleep. We would definitely go back.
