“Friendly restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 18, 2013

Set in an old building alongside a canal. There is a small room overlooking the canal and a larger room off the street. The menu is typical of Bruges with stews and mussels and average priced for the tourist centre of Bruges. Our food was well prepared and vey appetising.

“Fantastic Flemish Stew”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2013

We enjoyed an excellent evening meal in the Erasmus restaurant.
A warm friendly greeting, an excellent choice of beers, together with some recommendations, plus an extensive menu.
We chose the Flemish Stew, which came with fries and apple sauce. The combination sounds strange but it works! The meal was faultless.
We finished with coffees, the service was good and overall it was a really good experience.

“Good spot for lunch.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2013

Lovely view over the canal, nice quiet spot ,food cooked to order, mussels best we' have tasted in Bruges. We ordered the set menu which was good value.
Location in the centre of town means it is the perfect place to rest your aching feet before more sightseeing. All in all, highly recommend.

“Nice and quiet place”

The waterzooi was delicious, so was the rabbit, the chicken, the Erasmusburger and the hutsepot. Beautiful view and great atmosphere.

“Hearty”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2012

This well located restaurant gives hearty dishes. Expect punchy favours and portions which remind you that you are healthy and good to be alive. We went there for the beer rabbit and were not disappointed. I ordered the grantinated seafood, only to worry about the choice - I never had good experience with anything grantinated. But the dish came out examplery - with premiun cheese which was sufficiently toasted and gave out nice, seducing perfume and fresh, soft and tasty seafood (including tiny shrimps). This is the type of restaurant that makes you hate the ones you go to so (too) much back home. Only thing is, the good waiter was much overworked.
