Staff very friendly and helpful translating the menu. Fantastic, fresh and home-made. Top quality for a good price. We had the soup of the day, four cheese quiche and a vegetarian lunch with six different items, some hot and some cold. We also had some fantastic squeezed grape and apple juices. All for 34 euros for two people. Highly recommended!

I would recommend this restaurant to fellow vegetarians. Open at lunchtimes, and worth a visit. On arrival we were greeted with a homely atmosphere (the interior reminded us somewhat of a bookshop cafe, i.e. unpretentious, very relaxed )

Once seated we were presented with the menu. There is no english version (the menu is in dutch) however this was not a problem as the waitress was very friendly and translated it for us immediately.

Most people opted for the dish of the day - a platter of hot and cold vegetables, with pasta and pulses. Alternatively there was a quiche and salad option available, plus further options. (For meat eaters there was a lamb mossaka, plus a further two options.) A tasty looking selection of desserts, plus freshly squeezed juices, wines and beer. Good value for money, and service prompt and efficient.

p.s. On a slightly separate note....
My dinner recommendation would be the veggie tagalelle at Cambrinus - although you need to book a table in advance.

Having read the rave reviews, my wife and I stopped in for a quick bite here, ordering one of the mixed vegetarian plates. The food was alright -- I can't say I haven't had better vegetarian fare elsewhere. The woman who served us though was openly contemptuous, grunting derisively when we ordered only the one plate and rolling her eyes theatrically when we paid the bill (after first ignoring us for a while when we were obviously trying to pay). Having been treated with much warmth and kindness the previous week throughout the Netherlands, this was quite a rude introduction to Belgium. Was it because we only ordered the one plate? Perhaps if we had spent 20 or 30 Euros rather than 12 -- we weren't honestly that hungry but they're only open two hours a day -- we would have been more deserving of a bit of basic courtesy?

Lunchtime only restaurant (more's the pity) with a great choice of vegetarian food but also really good food for carnivores, although when we went they were definitely in the minority! Most people went for the excellent value vegetarian plate which changes every day. There were small portions of lots of different dishes one on plate. The menu was on a chalk board and quite limited but really tasty. It is a small but very busy place with lots of locals in what seems to be someone's house. Very good value for Bruges, too.
