Lynn and Peter, thank you so so very much for the absolute best stay of our entire vacation in Europe! Harish (my boyfriend) and I totally agree that we had the most awesome time ever in Bruges, mostly due to your amazing B&B by the canal with the ducks and its location in the heart of Bruges, and the fabulous food (omg, the wonderful daily home-made muffins were sooo scrumptious!) including the freshly-squeezed orange juice, the yummy cheeses and eggs and meats and breads. The Augustijn room with attached bath/shower was just perfect and bright and modern and spacious and filled with every amenity that we could wish for! Your hospitality and kindness and friendliness and suggestions were just spot-on. And thanks a million times over for the restaurant suggestions and the muffin recipe and the freshly-baked muffins and cookies for our train journey (they were amazing!) and for coming all the way to the station to find us to return our cell phone charger that we had left in our room by mistake! You should be No.1 on TripAdvisor as soon as possible! And we will be back in Bruges one day soon and staying with you guys again, for sure! Hugs, Swapna

Had a wonderful time at this B&B - made to feel most welcome, nothing was too much trouble.
Location was great, just a few minutes walk from the city centre, had a great weekend stay.
The room was just perfect and we had a lovely view of the canal.
Having driven from the UK on our way to Poland this was a great stopover as we could just put the car 'away' and enjoy walking and sightseeing around this beautiful city.
Would not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend it.
Many thanks to Lynn and Peter!!!!

Lynn and Peter have lovingly renovated this character town house and maintain the highest standard of hospitality and customer care possible. To call this a bed and breakfast is a massive understatement. Home made muffins, presented in your room daily were just a sample of the extra mile this couple go to, making your stay something special. The rooms are spotless and fabulously designed. The location, less than half a mile from the city centre is ideal and surprisingly quiet. As seasoned travelers we cannot recommend this establishment highly enough and will definitely be returning.

Lynn and Peter do a great job of making you feel right at home as soon as you walk through the door of Huis Koning - a beautiful old town house recently refurbished to a high standard. Despite only having three rooms this B+B has achieved the "boutique hotel" feel admirably and as an added bonus you get the personal touch missing in some of the larger establishments who would only be too happy to charge you double the price of what you'll be paying here.

Huis Koning's location is great too, only a few minutes walk to the historic centre and the vast array of cafes, pubs, restaurants and shops available in Bruges.

Every day Lynn put on a fabulous breakfast (she was a restauranteur in a previous vocation), made sure to tell us about what was going on locally and on our return we always had some new form of snack waiting in our room - from flap-jack biscuits, to local chocolates and apple cakes.

As you can see from other peoples pictures the rooms (we had the larger Augustjin for three nights) and entire house is tastefully finished, with all having satellite TV (inc BBC and ITV for us Brits) a well stocked mini bar and an ever so comfy bed. The larger Augustjin has a bathroom with bath and shower, compared to shower only in the other two - if you can take this one.

I went to Bruges for my 40th birthday and was not disappointed by this special place or by the lengths Lynn and Peter went to make us feel welcome at Huis Koning. I even found out that Lynn had hopped on a bike and went out to make sure the evening's meal was reserved at the restaurant of our choice just because the restaurant's number was out of order! She also presented me with a complimentary box of chocolates on my birthday and helped my girlfriend organise a special birthday spa treatment in town. How kind hearted is that !!

It will surely only be a matter of time before Huis Koning is near the top of TripAdvisor's list for B+Bs in Bruges. Lynn and Peter deserve this recently opened place to be a success - the only difficulty with that is it will make it harder for us to get a room next time we wish to return to Bruges. Top marks all round.....

We would highly recommend Huis Koning !! We loved our stay and if we ever get the chance to return to Brugge will definitely stay there again.

On first entering you know straight away that nothing has been done by halves here. The B&B is newly renovated with tasteful décor and everything is of high quality. All the small touches have been thought of but I won’t mention them as to spoil the surprise or experience ! ;-)

Huis Koning is a pre-planned and dedicated B&B unlike others that just “rent their spare room/s”. Its location is great - in a quiet street backing on to a canal and only 5min walk to the Market. Lynn & Peter are extremely friendly and helpful hosts. Peter even kindly gave us his spare tickets to a museum in Amsterdam (which was our next stop). Don’t feel afraid to ask for tourist tips as they are always willing to oblige – Lynn’s recommended restaurant list is fabulous and we were never disappointed – the dining in Brugge is indescribably good.

Lynn’s breakfasts were fabulous. Lots of choice, for example, cheeses, yogurts, cereal, fruit, pastries, bread and eggs, all from fresh and top quality ingredients. The atmosphere in the kitchen/dining area is so relaxing it was hard to leave and start our day sight seeing.

We loved the town of Brugge and would recommend everyone we know to visit there. People are friendly, food is second to none and the sights are postcard perfect. We would also recommend doing a day trip to the Belgian costal towns of Knokke and De Haan which are very close on the train from Brugge.

We also found Huis Koning to be great value compared to our research on other B&B’s. You won’t be disappointed ! Thank you Lynn & Peter you made our stay in Brugge a truly memorable one.

NB. Brugge is very popular and books out fast !

This is very special accommodation that Lynn and Peter are offering - we genuinely would not consider stopping anywhere else when we return to Bruges. Situated only five minutes from the city centre, the house is located in a quiet road that runs parallel to one of the canals. We booked all three rooms for a weekend break - they are all incredibly well presented with very tastful decor and furnishings, my wife and I are already planning to 'borrow' the colour scheme from the room we were in! The bathrooms are luxurious and spacious.

Lynn and Peter are exceptionally friendly hosts and you never feel in the way. Lynn has experience of running a restaurant - two things here: one, she makes these great little cakes that appear at different times of the day (breakfast is excellent by the way), two, she can steer you towards some great places to eat and drink - trust her advice, we had fantastic evenings out. I don't think we can recommend Huis Koning enough really.

We only stayed for a night, although we wished we’d stayed for two as Bruges is such a pretty place and this is quite a special B&B. Great location – just a few minutes walk from the market square. The whole house is beautifully furnished and with a great eye for detail. We stayed in the St Jacob room - a comfortable room with a small, but perfectly formed, shower room. Delicious buffet breakfast (with eggs cooked if you wish) which set us up for the day.
The house is adjacent to one of the canals and I imagine it would make a fabulous spot during the warmer months.
