This was the restaurant my husband and I went to on our last evening in Bruges, turns out we saved the best restaurant for last! The restaurant is located in an old cellar. It is very cosy and we loved how the tables were spaced out, you didn't have someone sitting right next to you. We received a very warm greeting upon arrival and were made to feel very welcome. For starters my husband ordered the smoked Scottish salmon which he loved and I ordered the goat cheese and mango salad. There is a salad I'd happily eat every day, it was fantastic! For our main courses my husband tried Fillet of Turbot, a fish he'd never tried before but said he will definitely have again. He said it's a very meaty fish and he thoroughly enjoyed his meal. I ordered the beef tenderloin with pepper sauce. Cooked to perfection, tender and extremely tasty. For dessert my husband tried the apple pie and I ordered the ice swan with raspberry coulis, perfect endings to perfect meals! Our service throughout the evening was excellent, extremely friendly and we felt very relaxed during the entire evening. If we make another trip back to Bruges there is no doubt we will visit de Bocarme again.
