Owner description: The historic center of Bruges has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000 thanks to its status as one of the commercial and cultural capitals of Europe and its enduring Gothic architecture. if you go at peak season, it is very difficult to see the beauty - head out first thing in the morning and you will see why everyone raves about it.

The historic square is easy on the eye and the senses, but on Wednesday mornings is even more of a must when it's taken over by a bustling food / flower market for the locals.

After visiting almost all european countries and their main historic and natural sites, I strongly believe that Brugge is one of the most interesting and well preserved place. Yes, it gets touristy in summer, in daytime but even tourist groups do not destroy
positive impression and atmosphere. I've been there 4-5 times and believe that one must stay a couple of nights there.

Amazing architecture. Get lost on the windy side streets and see a quiet side of Brugge. Pop into a quiet pub and drink a pint of Belgium bier. Photographers heaven. Throngs of tourists flood the historic city center each day. Eat chocolates!
