We went along after being recommended by a friend. We were VERY disappointed. The level of customer service was very poor. The waiter was very off-hand and couldn't be bothered to help us select our wine or food. He just wanted to get us fed and out as quickly as he could. Food was ok but nothing special. Wouldn't got there again. Amazingly he was surprised when we declined to give him a tip. I refuse to tipreward bad service.

Situated near Minnewater and round the corner from the Convent, this looked a good restaurant with a good choice of food. There was a 'set menu' which was very reasonable.
This was our first night in Bruges so we had to have the mussels and frites, but found these very disappointing. Supposedly cooked in wine, the mussels were small and juicy, but not a lot of wine or garlic flavour and rather bland. The frites were obviously frozen and a little undercooked.
Service was good and perhaps we made a bad choice, but it was a little disappointing.

On reconnoitering this restuarant very close to our hotel and on the recommendation of our tour party guide we opted for dinner there on our first night in Bruges. As a tourist restaurant it was fine, albeit the bill came out to more than our party of four visualised. The food, drink and service were quite good and the menus were in English.

Our tour guide took us to this restaurant during our visit of Brugge. It turned out to be a great choice as the food was great and the service was excellent (may be it was because we were under time constraint and the owners wanted to impress the tour guide). We tried the steak and it was good. Some others in our group had mussels and it was terrific as well. Definitely have to try their draft beer (we forgot to ask for name). If you're in Brugge, can't go wrong with this restaurant.

After a long day in Bruges and short nap at hotel, we just walked less than 100mtrs from our hotel. Menu looked good at first, so we made a mistake.
Our first drinks were really expensive, compared to quality of house wine and price of Leffe on other restaurants. All printed prices were more reasonable.
We ate mussels for starters, then turbot (me) and scampis (she) for main course. Main ingredients were ok, but everything else...not. Mussels had some raw vegetables with them - so our meal was combination from two different pots? Turbot had raw potatoes and horribly oversalted beans with, luckily sauce was on separate unit, so it was possible to eat only the best parts. Scampis were middle of horrible butter-lake, with raw vegetables.
Waiter was hot happy with our wine choice, sauvignon blanc from Sancerre. We just did not want to drink chardonnay from Bourgogne, maybe he knew its taste would kill mistakes of kitchen?
Rude service was crowned when paying by credit card.
Don't go. Bruges must have better restaurants.
