Today was a wonderful day shared with a small group( 20 ) of diverse people from around the globe. Phillipe has a phenomenal knowledge of Flanders Field shared with the respect and humility it so deserves
Believe me this was not a somber dull day nor a dull history lesson!
I can thoroughly recommend visiting Flanders Field with Quasimodo Tours and if you have the chance ,as Phillipe arranged for us, stay in Ypres for The Last Post at the Menin Gate.

We joined Philippe for both his Flanders Field and Belgium Delight tours.
We totally agree with what others have said in terms of his knowledge, presentation, personality, handling of the small group and so forth. The Flanders tour is wonderful for an understanding of the "war to end all wars." The Belgium Delight tour is a quirky off the beaten track way to see some of the non-Brugge sites around the area. You learn something about Flanders history and a flavor for the people who live there. In addition it has a few special activities you don't find in the typical tour.
Beside all of that, Philippe is genuinely concerned about his guests. We had a situation based upon some disability and traffic where we needed to get to the train station before the tour ended. Philippe contacted a taxi for us and made sure we would arrive in time at no extra expense to us. We are very grateful for his thoughtfulness. This was an incredibly pleasing tour for us.

If you've got a day or two in Brugge would highly recommend this tour. Philippe was our guide and along with his wife runs Quasimodo Tours. If you want a history of Belgium and Brugge in particular, and you'd like it to be presented by a guy with an incredible knowledge base but who also has the ability to entertain while you learn, then this tour is for you. "Triple Treat"....that would be the lunch, including waffles, the chocolate tasting and quick lesson on brewing.....beer, of course! You get to taste several different styles indicative of the region, just don't ask for Heineken!! You will not be disappointed.

The Flanders tour was great and definitely worth the money. Philippe was full of information and eager to share it. He would explain the history as we drove through certain areas and leading up to the different sites. Then we would disembark and he would have pictures and maps to help us get a better understanding of what the area looked like back during the war. There are lots of stops and we were able to walk around and reflect on the information. We each had a pamphlet that listed all the sites we were stopping and a little bit of information as well as a map. Overall it was the highlight of our trip to Belgium and we definitely recommend this tour.

Knowledgeable guide and interesting tour, the couple clearly know what they are doing with the tour and what people want.
Smallish group (maximum 30 i think but about 18 for us). We were picked up from our hotel because they said it was too far from a pick up point (though only 20min walk really) which was nice. There was a slight issue with the taxi but Philippe was very apologetic and said it was the first time they'd had any issues for years.
Philippe was a great guide, summarising well and giving interesting details. He was also quite funny where appropriate which was refreshing on a tour like this which could have got quite heavy.
Lunch was simple but satisfying. During the tour we had a laminated map of the area and sites we'd be visiting and afterwards we received a useful little booklet with more information and a recap which was great.
If you want to see Ieper, this is the way to do it. Just a shame you can do this and see the 8pm ceremony at the Menin Gate on the same day.
