“Very Informative”

The Flanders tour was great and definitely worth the money. Philippe was full of information and eager to share it. He would explain the history as we drove through certain areas and leading up to the different sites. Then we would disembark and he would have pictures and maps to help us get a better understanding of what the area looked like back during the war. There are lots of stops and we were able to walk around and reflect on the information. We each had a pamphlet that listed all the sites we were stopping and a little bit of information as well as a map. Overall it was the highlight of our trip to Belgium and we definitely recommend this tour.

“Best way to see Ieper”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

Knowledgeable guide and interesting tour, the couple clearly know what they are doing with the tour and what people want.
Smallish group (maximum 30 i think but about 18 for us). We were picked up from our hotel because they said it was too far from a pick up point (though only 20min walk really) which was nice. There was a slight issue with the taxi but Philippe was very apologetic and said it was the first time they'd had any issues for years.
Philippe was a great guide, summarising well and giving interesting details. He was also quite funny where appropriate which was refreshing on a tour like this which could have got quite heavy.
Lunch was simple but satisfying. During the tour we had a laminated map of the area and sites we'd be visiting and afterwards we received a useful little booklet with more information and a recap which was great.
If you want to see Ieper, this is the way to do it. Just a shame you can do this and see the 8pm ceremony at the Menin Gate on the same day.

“Well worth the money”

Recently visited Bruges and on recommendation from trip advisor booked the triple treat tour. Phillipe was our guide for the day and showed us some of the real Flemish Belgium. Enjoyed waffles, chocolate and beer too. A must for any visitor to Brugge (that's what we're supposed to call it!). Next time we visit we plan to do the Flanders tour to find out more about WW1

This tour was very informative and enjoyable. Our tour guide, Phil, has a fun sense of humor and lots of history knowledge that he shared with our group.
Highly recommend if you are a tourist and want to learn more about Brugge and area!

“Best of Belgium and Triple treat tour - Worth more than what you pay for the tour!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 5, 2013

My Mother found this tour in her Rick Steves guide and suggested I look it up (I live in Belgium).
After checking the comments here and looking over the website details and a bit further exploration I made a reservation. We were a family of 4 with 4 other people in a van since there were only 8 of us for this tour and it was one of the best personalized but standard tour I have been on. Very comparable with some of the Historical City Walk guided tours.

Philippe will pick up at a few different locations, but if you come by train you have only a little walk to where he will pick you up. It was a holiday so we did not see the chocolate stop, but the beer stop was open. However since it was windy and a holiday a windmill in Damme, the windmill there was open and working really hard, so we had a nice impromptu stop that took the place of the chocolate stop. Lunch is a sandwich which is included in your cost of the tour and a giant Belgian waffle with whip cream and powdered sugar which is just to die for! He promises you chocolates in his literature and you will certainly get them at the end of the tour. They are very delicious.

There are plenty of photo opportunities all over the tour so bring you camera. I should mention this area is his "backyard" and he knows the area well. His tours talks are both very detailed and funny about the sights in the areas of the tour and well worth the money your pay to take the tour. At the end of the tour he will drop you off where he picked you up. This is a must do tour!!
