“Yum”

Nothing spectacular but a nice cheap meal of salmon with lobster sauce for €9.50, not to mention you get free soup before this. Beers are reasonably priced and the staff are friendly enough.

“Cosy and od”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2012

Small and cosy tucked away in a street. The lady of the house is a bit grumpy but that was fine, the young waiter was very helpfull.
It wasnt fancy, and they didnt portray it otherwise.

“Worst Lasagne”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 18, 2012

The soup and the meat were alright, but the Lasagne my girlfriend had, was really a slap in the face. Overcooked, sourly taste, the minced meat could hardly be recognized as meat - everything was suspiciously like with those cheap ready-to-serve Lasagnes you get in supermarkets.

Also the cheese croquettes weren't very good and most definitely not home made (I won't even mention the overpricing - 8,50 for two small croquettes - because that's probably normal in Bruges).

So, to sum it up: You can order some decent meat for a reasonable price in a cozy atmosphere - but stay away from the Lasagne!

“Excellent food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 6, 2011

I was in Bruges with my friend last year. We had a very low budget, so we were very pleased to find such a good restaurant for a small price. We had dinner at the Ganzespel twice and we appreciated a lot the genuine old-fashioned atmosphere, the kindness of the waiter, the delicacy of the soups (excellent choice for the rainy days of Bruges) and the choice of main dishes.
