“Another place we kept returning to”
Reviewed February 3, 2014

Before we set out on our trip to Bruges, we asked several people who know about beer where we should go to get the best beer experience, and without exception they recommended this lively bar - otherwise known as "Daisy's".

The staff are very friendly and so if you are flummoxed by the hundreds of beers on offer, just ask for recommendations and they will soon find you something you will enjoy. Don't be put off if it seems that there is no room to sit. If you are patient and can find a corner to wait in, space will become free.

As it is a bar, food is limited but I can highly recommended the Spaghetti Bolognese which is home made with fresh ingredients by Daisy herself.

“Best Brugge Bar?”
Reviewed January 31, 2014

Excellent beers, cosy, lively, very helpful and interested staff, quite crowded even in January, but feels relaxed especially if you can get one of the small tables squeezed round the 2 rooms. Interesting beer poster décor, and of course an amazing selection of glasses each for its own beer. Only a few minutes from Markt and Burg. An education seeing what others have chosen to drink from the lengthy menu of beers from each region.

“300 Beers to try”
Reviewed January 30, 2014

We were recommended this bar by the train guard on the Brussels/Bruges train. We visited two of the three nights we spent in Bruges. The beers were terrific and ordering from the huge book was a work of art. Daisy the owner was a mine of useful information and brilliant on beer selection. Tell her your taste in beer and leave it to her to decide, I was not disappointed, the food is only snacks but the cheese salads are cheap and very tasty, also the spaghetti Bolognese was very tasty and filling. The people were a mix of locals coming in from work for a few beers, and many English tourists (here for the beer). The décor was very brewery oriented and the delirium tremens, plaque and beer coasters were a delight (Very partial to pink elephants).

“Bier!”
Reviewed January 27, 2014

A very cool pub in the city centre of Bruges. We were blown away by the beer menu so it was very nice to have one of the staff ask what kind of beers we liked and then he suggested a few. Well worth a visit!

“Fantastic way to spend an early evening”
Reviewed January 26, 2014

The bar only opens at 4pm, we arrived about 4.15 and by 4.30 the places was packed. What a super mix of people, from locals and local business people to tourists of all ages. The selection of beers and drinks available was unbelieveable and if you are struggling with your choice the staff are on hand to give advice in a pleasant and friendly manner. The atmosphere was great and the whole experience was very enjoyable and again I would highly recommend this to anyone.
