“Great Food”
Reviewed June 20, 2013

We enjoyed this restaurant so much that we broke our rule of never eating at the same place twice and went back for lunch. We initially had a great dinner here - my roast chicken was outstanding and my companions duck salad was also excellent. I would definitely make reservations because they appear to be very popular with the locals.

“Beer-ware of the Parsley”
Reviewed June 18, 2013 via mobile

Although this place has a great selection of beers (not many on tap though), we would NOT go again. We did not try the food in the end because everything we saw go by was covered in parsley (the meat, the salads, the potato wedges, etc.)! I was once told by a great chef to beware of restaurants that overuse parsley to hide their lacklustre food. As well, the beer tasting wasn't that great and we were granted a rushed explanation of the four beers (ie. simply told the alcohol content).

More importantly, we encountered the most rude servers ever! Not only were the multiple severs rude to the customers (not just us), but to each other as well! We hope we caught them on a bad night, as this is not what we expected from such a highly rated restaurant.

“Good food, mediocre service, sometimes overrun with obnoxious tourists.”
Reviewed June 18, 2013 via mobile

We went here on a recommendation from our hotel. We went early and got a seat, and ordered. As we sat waiting for our food the place started to fill up. It quickly became busy and super noisy. The food came and it was really good. It's heavy bar food, so order sparingly if you don't have a big appetite.

The service was a little slower than what I like to call European-slow. I can understand it as they were really busy, but I just wish things had moved a little faster. I'd be likely to go back, but I imagine that if there were a crowd when I showed up, I'd go somewhere else.

“A return visit”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

This lively bar serves well cooked tasty food with a beer theme. The pigs cheeks melt in your mouth and the asparagus in cheese sauce is fantastic. Great for an informal meal and the opportunity to sample many of the Belgium beers.

“Great Intro to Bruges!”
Reviewed June 17, 2013

This is a very upbeat, busy restaurant/bar that is a perfect first night in Bruge experience!
Tasty good food at reasonable prices with a showy display of beers for the novice to try and a great ambience in a very funky atmosphere. Lots of interesting décor.
We had to line up for awhile as we didn't have reservations but it was worth it and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming.
