“Good food, ambience, beer choice and service”
Reviewed January 27, 2013

Despite being out of season, the brasserie was pact. This did not affect the attentive service or the food quality which for what and where it is, was good. Beer choice was marvellous and for those who are more than happy when faced with a choice of three or four hand drawn ales, found any selection quite a challenge. Probably the only negative was the neighbouring table comprised some twenty or so local teenagers who were raucous and although were clearly causing a degree of upset to those closer diners, were not asked by the establishment to moderate their behaviour. Otherwise, it was a great place. Pricey, but not by Bruges standards!

“Overwhelming selection of beers - dive in!”
Reviewed January 25, 2013

This place had been recommended to us by several people. We were there on a very cold Thursday afternoon in January so it wasn't too busy, but it looked very cosy and friendly. The waitress slapped down a menu the size of a telephone book in front of us and our eyes started to goggle! She had to come back a couple of times before we were even ready to formulate an order, and even then I forgot! However it was a really good introduction to Belgian beer as the menu gives a description of each beer and very helpfully tells you the percentage. If you're a beer neophyte like myself probably don't attempt to read the whole thing, just pick the first thing that looks nice and then flip through whilst you sip that - and again having the percentage written down will hopefully stop you making a rookie error. I imagine it's heaven for beer lovers and experts - I think I've started a love affair and will return here to plough further through.

“Great food and extensive beer list”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

This pub/restaurant in the heart of Bruges is a great place to stop and have a meal. I enjoyed their soup of the day, a lovely creamy leek soup, and I ordered a side of frites. The pair was enough for a lunch. The house beer is delicious, and I highly recommend it. Only downside is that it's a bit expensive. However, everywhere in Bruges is expensive...

“Top bar, food is very good”
Reviewed January 21, 2013

This place has a lot of good reviews and I agree with them. It gets busy so try to reserve a table if you are eating there. The service is efficient, large choice of beers and the place offers an authentic taste of Bruges life.

“Fantastic beer selection and great food”
Reviewed January 19, 2013

If you are beer lover this is definitely a place to visit in Bruges - the selection was impressive and the staff were willing to help you decide what to try.

We had a fantastic three course meal here - the food was great and the portions large and warming. The place does get very packed and it's worth booking a table for an evening meal to ensure you can experience Cambrinus.
