We booked this table in advance as we knew December in Bruges would be busy. We were a party of 6 and this restaurant was only 8 minutes walk from the IBIS Centrum Hotel. We ate off the 55 Euro menu that was great value as it included any aperitif followed by half a bottle of wine per person (red/white or rose) starter, main course, sweet, coffee. There were several choices for each course. Attention to detail was second to none, the food fabulous and fresh. The atmosphere in the small restaurant was homely with all tables talking with each other and we were made to feel very welcome by both the mother and daughter who run the place and by the local customers who eat there regularly. Nothing was too much trouble I will be going again and urging my friends to go when they visit Bruges.

This restaurant is a little out of the centre, but was well worth the 15 minute walk from the Markt. We received a warm welcome, and the place was nicely set out and looked good. We ate from the 28 euro menu, and were well impressed by the quality and quantity of the food. Soooo much better than eating in the tourist trap restaurants in the Markt and close to the centre of the town. Obviously the locals appreciate that too - nearly all other voices in the place were Flemish. The nice touches were appreciated - like the amuse bouches at the start and the chocs and cake with the coffee at the end. No need for a dessert! Be aware though - they only take cash - no cards accepted, which almost caught us out. Definitely worth five stars though!

Having read a review of this restaurant whilst travelling by Eurostar to Brussels, we decided we would seek it out and give it a try. It's a bit off the beaten track, but well worth a visit. We first made our way there on a Thursday evening only to find it was closed. We decided to return the following Saturday for lunch, and we were not disappointed! An authentic, rustic restaurant with a roaring fire. We had the two course, set lunch menu for €12 - excellent quality and value. I would recommend without hesitation.

We wanted to find a small restaurant that had good food and a cosy atmosphere, this ticked all the boxes!
The food was good, reasonably priced and the front of house made you feel welcome and not just a tourist. They only take cash which for some can be a problem, but still a good place to have a good evening.

We wanted to try a genuine local place, not a tourist restaurant. At a local pub, the bartender told us about this place not to far off the beaten path. we were unsure but decided to give it a try. It was wonderful. They had a regular menu and a fixed meal plan where you pick from a few appetizers, dinner and dessert choices. Mine was 28Euro. I had the smaller meal choice. My husband picked the middle of the road and paid 40Euro. We both received bread and our pre appetizer was 6 little breads with three different flavors on them. One had Herring, the other Salmon and the third a salsa. Delicious. Then our appetizers. I got a salad with shrimp and a shrimp crouquette. My husband got Escargot and they were both so scrumptious. The entree was Steak with choice of sauces and they were perfectly cooked. Mine med well, his med rare. Tender and we ate very bite. That came with freshly cut french fries and extra gravy for dipping and a side salad. Desert for my hubby was a platter with a shot of sherry, Belgium coffee, choco mouse and a piece of cake and a piece of Belgium candy. He loved it. Mine was two scoops of ice cream whip cream with shaved choco and home made Belgium fudge sauce. We arrived at 6 when they opened. The owners and chef is Wendy. Her mother, Sophia was the hostess. They were genuine and told us places to go off the beaten path and were lovely. The best, choice in food. We had just come from London and Paris and this was our best meal in London yet.
