Second time we've eaten here, each time for moules & frites which is very good - €20; a bottle of the house white was the same price. Not cheap when you're converting from GBP but that's not the restaurant's fault. Very nice place, smart, warm & friendly. My dame blanche came with the chocolate sauce already on the ice cream - I prefer to have a separate little jug. Would definitely go back.

My wife and I recently spent 4 nights in Bruges and ate here on 2 evenings. The location is quiet and pleasant and the interior was welcoming and warm. The waiter was friendly and attentive. The food was fine, probably standard Belgian fare, but the beef stew was vey tasty and the 4 of us were quite happy with the quality. No problem with credit cards and the house red wine was good. Definitely worth a visit if you are staying in that area and want somewhere pleasant and reliable to eat.

We both had soup of the day for starters and found it very bland. Bread was an extra 2.5 euros per portion! My wife had spaghetti bolognaise which again was bland whilst I had mussels in white wine with fries at 19.5 euros which was ok. The waiters were efficient and fire made for a cosy atmosphere on a dull afternoon.

This restaurant was the most inviting restaurant from just walking by. It was fairly quiet when we went in (being a very, very cold February and it was late afternoon, not really "mealtime") but the atmosphere was nice and relaxing. The service was humble, not too showy. The food was very nicly presented and tasted fantastic. We didn't want a long drawn out experience as we needed to get back to Brussels and the waiter was attentive.

In summary, great service, great food, great surroundings. A perfect end to a long day of walking around Bruges.

We had two meals here on 13 and 14/02/09. We chose the cheapest price set menu and the food was great. We recommend the Flemish Stew and the mussels,There was only one choice of pudding but it was good. We had a window seat and could watch the wolrd go by. It is in a lovely spot just by the Beguinage and Minnewater. Very good value for money
