De Pepermolen is 600m from the market square but well worth the walk. In contrast to many central venues it offers good value, a quiet and comfortable dining room and excellent service. We chose the Chef's Special Menu at 37 Euro together with the selection of matching wines for 12 Euro. An amuse bouche of white asparagus soup was delicious and was followed by a classic Belgian starter of asparagus, eggs and shrimp (this being the season for Belgian asparagus!). A main course of perfectly cooked guinea fowl and a cheese plate featuring local varieties completed the meal. The white and red wines that were served were perfectly judged and our glasses were constantly refilled - fantastic value for money! The service from the owner was friendly and very professional. Highly recommended.
