“Seriously, there is no reason to stay anywhere else in Bruges.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 1, 2013

Stayed here for 3 nights over 2 years ago (October 2010). A wonderful, clean and quiet place to stay just a stones throw from the centre of Brugge. Benny (the owner) was a fantastic host and was very helpful to us. Having our breakfast brought to our room on weekdays was a really nice touch.

Benny's hospitality in this lovely B&B really added to our experience in this beautiful city.
We will definitely look to book here again should we return.

Hopefully sooner rather than later!

We loved our stay in Brugge and this B&B was one of the highlights. We had a lovely room, large and comfortable, with all the amenities. Every detail was well thought out and added to the charm of the room. The service was also impeccable; the owner gave us great recommendations for restaurants and bars, and breakfast was served in the room. The B&B is not too far from the main square - Brugge is small and quaint and you can walk everywhere. You can take a bus from the train station to a street nearby which is very convenient. The room was one of the nicest we've stayed in in Europe and has wireless internet.

I truly do not have enough room to sing the praises of this amazing B&B! It was beyond anything we could have expected...immaculate, spacious, charming, quiet, great bed, HUGE bathroom! The location was excellent, we were on the third floor, all three rooms are corner rooms, so wonderful light and view of the quaint street and church! It was quiet yet so convenient. Brugge is absolutely my favorite city of our European trip! Benny was so helpful, we enjoyed our family style breakfast with him...delicious and fun! We had to leave extra early our last morning, and he made sure we had a tray for breakfast! We had a mini reunion, our daughter in the 2nd floor room shown above, and our niece and her family were able to stay, conveniently and comfortably, next door Hotel Fevery...perfect! The freezing March weather was the only downside, but it made frequent stops in the chocolate shops and wonderful tea rooms that much sweeter!! I can only dream of a return trip to this amazing, charming, historic city, and Bariseele!

Room Tip: We were on the third floor and LOVED it! Challenge getting suitcases up the stairs, but worth it!

I cannot speak highly enough of this superbly welcoming hideaway.
It nestles in the back-doubles of Bruges: just far enough away to avoid any possibility of disturbed sleep; close enough for a pleasant walk back to the centre.
The place is split into two, and we stayed in the BB Bariseele (bed and breakfast) part.
This is run by a large, cheerful "broth of a lad" called Benny Verkamer (his partner Paul runs Hotel Feverie which adjoins).
There are only three rooms, actually suites, in BB, each on a separate floor.
We had the top one, which is called "Room with a View", that provided a huge bedroom/living area (complete with fridge, microwave and all necessary crockery and cutlery) and a luxurious bathroom with double sinks. There is also a dining table and chairs with the eponymous views in double aspect.
A beautifully comfortable place to stay.
At weekends you will have breakfast with Benny in his living quarters; he is a tremendous host - very friendly, funny and keen to share his vast knowledge of Bruges, and Belgium in general.
The breakfast might not be marvellously healthy but you are on holiday, so treat yourself!
On weekdays he leaves the breakfast outside your suite at 8am.
It was my partner's 50th birthday treat and he made a fuss of her, providing fine champagne at much discounted price and a souvenir mug of the hotel.
He also made restaurant reservations for us, insisting that we got tables by the fires in each one (it was a perishing cold weekend). At one of the restaurants he had asked the satff to bring her a birthday cake, complete with indoor firework, with the dessert course.
I have not tried Hotel Feverie next door but we did go into the building to collect our keys, and I have no reason to doubt it equals BB.
Many thanks for the hospitality, and we may well use the discount code you gave us for another visit.

Room Tip: All the suites look superb so you can choose any one of them and be confident of a great time

Visited Brugge in October 2012 and had the pleasure of staying at Bariseele. The owner Benny was very generous and considerate. The room is spacious and comfortable. We had a view looking at the church next door. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was brought to us everyday set up on a tray outside the door. Favourite part of breakfast: Belgium dark chocolate. Really enjoyed the town and the entire experience!! Look forward to returning to Brugge and Bariseele again.

Stayed two nights here. "Room with a view" is at the top of the stairs, and worth every step. Beautiful view of nearby church and roof tops. Huge living area and bath. Hospital clean. Bennie, the proprietor was very attentive. The connection with the attached Hotel Fevery provides the benefits of both hotel and B & B. This is a great choice. 12 euro cab from the train station to the front door. Thereafter, everything is within a short walk.

It is wonderful how you have taken the time to write so many heartwarming words from both the places you stayed in. We are glad you enjoyed your stay, and hope to welcome you again ... Maybe on a sunny and warm spring or summer day... To enjoy a nice bike ride along the canals of Bruges and Damme.. Thank you again ! Benny

Excellent B&B. The room was huge and very nice, cosy and romantic. The bathroom was also very spacious. Very quiet place. We had lovely breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday downstairs and had breakfast in the room on Monday, which was very nice and cosy. The owner gave us a perfect treatment, gave us a map and explained to us everything one can do in Bruges and also recommended restaurants and places to enjoy a good hot chocolate, which was very helpful. Only 10 min away from the main market square. The walk is by the canal, which makes it beautiful. Very nice city in general, very highly recommendable for couples and chocolate lovers!
